Andrew WK's surprise comeback 2026-08-31 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 8 Comments | Party rocker Andrew WK has returned from 5 years of silence with a new album, Temptation to Exist. Initially released solely on YouTube Music on 28 August, the album hit all major platforms on 31 August.
Andrew WK retreated from the public eye in 2021 shortly after the release of God Is Partying, cancelling all tour dates and public appearances with no explanation. He married actress Kat Dennings in 2023. Though he has maintained his silence during the release of the new album, its authenticity was confirmed on Instagram by Dennings.
Temptation to Exist is a significant departure from the upbeat party metal and piano rock that Andrew WK has become known for, even moreso than the darker tone of God Is Partying. Instead, the album is an atmospheric work of instrumental jazz, with AWK performing all instruments himself.
The album can be streamed on all major streaming platforms.

I remember really liking that one piano album he did, might give this a listen.

I mean it would have been really tacky to release another party album at this point in life. Nice to see him reveal more of his actual talented side rather than affect a persona he's probably disconnected from in certain ways (excluding the outfit)
