Jonas Brothers Get Emo Again 2026-08-24 by John Marinakis CONTRIBUTOR | 0 Comments | The Jonas Brothers debuted their forthcoming single, Listen When Sad during the opening concert of their Burning Up Tour All Over Again at New York's Madison Square Garden on August 20.
The pop-rock track will receive its official studio release on August 28. It reunites the group with producer John Fields for their first studio collaboration since 2009.
Fields played an important role in shaping the Jonas Brothers' early sound, working on their self-titled album, A Little Bit Longer and Lines, Vines and Trying Times. The band said the new song channels the emo and alternative artists who influenced them while presenting that musical heritage through their current perspective.
The single's nostalgic direction also complements the Burning Up Tour All Over Again, which revisits material from the trio's late-2000s breakthrough alongside newer songs and selections from their solo careers.
The tour began with three sold-out Madison Square Garden concerts and will continue through the United States and Canada before concluding in Newark, New Jersey, on December 21.
