First Sepultura song from final EP 2026-02-27 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 11 Comments | Brazilian thrash group Sepultura have released first single from their final EP, The Cloud of Unknowing, which will be released on 24 April via Nuclear Blast.
The song, "The Place", was released accompanied by an AI generated lyric video interspersed with real footage of the band, and lyrically challenges the hypocrisy of immigrants who subsequently become anti-immigration once they have settled into a new country.
Track list:
1. All Souls Rising
2. Beyond the Dream
3. Sacred Books
4. The Place

Artificial intelligence... okay, at least it’s just a lyric video. I remembered their show at Spodek some 15 months ago, the performance was top-notch but the screens with AI-generated images all over the stage kind of ruined the experience for me.
| | | Going to see them May 2nd! I've never caught Sepultura before and I'm hoping they pull out some classics.
| | | Song rips. They sound as energized as ever imho

| | | Seeing as this is the closing track, it's fitting.
Song rips, those guys were on a roll recently, they could have carried on.
| | | "I'm hoping they pull out some classics."
For that you may want to catch Cavalera Conspiracy live.
| | | Seen them a few times, they always play a few classics. Much prefer seeing them than anything with Max to be honest
| | | crazy. Max and Igor put on an insane show at MDF. Shit ripped so hard it was unbelievable.
| | | Have been so lucky to catch Real Sepultura multiple times playing the classics in the last few years. Hope it continues while Max still got the energy!
| | | I really like the first half of the track, before it speeds up, kind of has vibes of their cover of Massive Attack's 'Angel'.
