This is kinda bad.
|
| |
Bob still behind the board plus Dexter taking further control equals farts. imo
|
| |
>produced by bob rock
guys please it's not too late to scrap this and delete "let the bad times roll" from every digital store so we can pretend you still have a perfect discography
please
|
| |
Here is to hoping the rest of the album is better...
|
| |
Complete trash
|
| |
This is really bad. Not very surprised though considering their last album
|
| |
Welp at least the mood is a bit breezy which fits older Offspring
That Metallica artwork though lol. And they've also given a nod to Smash's artwork while at it
|
| |
Looks more like A7x. Also, the captions are ugly.
|
| |
Band should've called it quits years ago.
|
| |
Day one.
I still trust them XD.
|
| |
Up to the second chorus it's even enjoyable, later it becomes a musical equivalent of a landfill.
|
| |
decent song, bad vocal sample implementation
|
| |
Ride The Lightning album cover done by AI
|
| |
They've come a long way from singing about the Iraqi/Iranian regimes to whatever the fuck this is
|
| |
Smash is the way you deal with your life.
|
| |
It only hurts for a while.
|
| |
Supercharged with lameness
|
| |
I thought the last album was fine from what I heard. This is bad though. The only way it seems enjoyable is if ya envision it being in an American Pie movie. In that case it fits that more careless fun of the early 2000s. As a lead single though to promote the next album it mostly sucks.
|
| |
this is what happens when you shill big pharma
|
| |
Barf.
|
| |
For me they topped out at Ixnay. Classic album.
|
| |
sounds like a shitty Weezer song lol
|
| |
They seriously shilled big pharma?
|
| |
please stop making music. this band is garbage anymore
|
| |
ya'll hear of the antivax ska supergroup yet https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Defiant_(band)
|
| |
"They seriously shilled big pharma?"
Bassist got canned for not getting the jab
Imagine getting fired by a guy named Noodles
|
| |
these guys should've quit after americana
|
| |
This sounds like a bad rip off of the shittier blink songs with Skiba. For real though, was this band ever GOOD?
|
| |
@Trebor it was their drummer Pete Parada who got sacked. Fucked up thing is he has Guillaume-Barre Syndrome so he literally cannot get the jab or he'd probably die, and they didn't give a shit. Basically ruined the dude's life cuz he definitely ain't getting gigs like before
@Kusanagi not only that but they were changing the lyrics to Keep Them Separated on shows to "got to get them vaccinated" and pushing his PhD as proof and credibility to get the vaccine. Really disgusting, he was obviously getting paid like a lot of stars were to push it
|
| |
@StrizzMatik dude I didn't know they changed the lyrics to "got to get them vaccinated" what a bunch of pussies!
Kinda reminds me of Comply Along To The Machine ... "fuck yes I will do what you tell me"
|
| |
If you losers are so pressed about a band pushing a mainstream political agenda I'd recommend listening to some actual punk rock and not sellout babytime mitten water like the fucking offspring
|
| |
Hopefully better than the last one.
Frankly the talents of Rock are wasted on these guys but w/e
|
| |
I have lots of fondness for this band. That being said, I haven't enjoyed anything they have released since 2003. I hope they release at least one half-decent album before they call it quits.
|
| |
I don't get the hate for Rise and Fall. It's honestly my fav record by them.
Days Go By wasn't perfect but it had some jams.
|
| |
Turning Into Rise Against is quite a decent track, actually.
Holland should be forbidden to strike high notes, he sounds obnoxious.
|
| |
Lol nobody's "pressed" this band was never that good, they haven't even been decent for 20+ years and nobody even thinks they're a punk band lmao
|
| |
Cool then stop whining!
|
| |
No one is whining. The band wasn't great to begin with and now they are just out there spouting government bullshit while kicking their drummer, which makes them lames. It's just pointing out facts.
|
| |
Song is mid, certainly not the worst thing they've released.
|
| |
"not only that but they were changing the lyrics to Keep Them Separated on shows to "got to get them vaccinated" and pushing his PhD as proof and credibility to get the vaccine. Really disgusting, he was obviously getting paid like a lot of stars were to push it"
"and now they are just out there spouting government bullshit while kicking their drummer, which makes them lames. "
I mean it's shitty they kicked their drummer but sounds like a business decision to avoid visa issues/mandates across the globe. personally: i'm not surprised in the slightest that a band led by a guy with a PhD in biology thinks vaccines are good. I mean the guys doctoral thesis was on the mechanism of aids, a virus which wasn't taken seriously as a threat during its heyday. but yeah on one hand it would've been a better look to have the guy sit out tours and grab a session guy buuuut lets be real: guy was probably a bonafide session dude anyway. I doubt he ever had a stake in the bands brand and has probably just been paid as an 'independent contractor' for almost 2 decades. sucks to be him but at least he's not dave ellefson.
but yeah I do think offsprings one of those cases where they should just embrace being a legacy band rather than try to prove 'they've still got it and their new shit is the most proud they've ever been.' like pretty much every band from the 90s with extensive radio play has the same exact issue, doesn't really invalidate their creative peak[see: smashing pumpkins, RHCP, blink-182, green day, etc]. Regardless, I'm sure they have enough fans that are stoked for a new album and that's an accomplishment.
