Darkest Hour Suffer Divinely 2026-09-02 by Lelle | 20 Comments | Darkest Hour have shared the first single and music video from their upcoming eleventh album Suffer Divine, due to release October 30, 2026. Watch the video, featuring the title track, below.
Guitarist Mike Schleibaum says: "This album is so special to us. We've had the support of an amazing team at the label, the incredibly talented Mark Lewis, and each other as we have navigated the process that gave birth to 'Suffer Divine'. The result is one blistering album. It's full of rage, thrash, and aggression but also feels musically dense. Sonically, this is an album born out of love for things like melodic death metal.
"Conceptually, the album touches on the idea that you can derive self-worth (and some value) from your own suffering," he adds. "In fact, the creation of this album was the personification of that actual act. There is so much rage, anger, and pain put into this record, yet at the same time it holds in itself so much hope. It's equal parts hope, rage, and empathy."

Where is my stool sample?....Oh there it is.
| | | This is not good
| | | John sounds great. that’s about where my praise ends and the disappointment begins
| | | dont shoot your footage at 60fps and slow it down then speed it up, it doesn't look good
| | | Imagine covering your instruments in goop to film this music video
| | | Was really excited to hear theyre bringing back the Godless Prophets (their best album) sound but man this is just devoid of any creativity.
| | | "Conceptually, the album touches on the idea that you can derive self-worth (and some value) from your own suffering" so we paid a local hobo to take a poop on our guitars.
Perpetual terminal was kinda mindless but fun, this sounds kinda exactly like that. With how fucking clutch deliver us i always expected these guys to push their sound forward but sadly no such things are present here.
| | | They finally fixed Undoing Ruin on Spotify
| | | idk it's not that bad, wish they'd reintroduce more of the melodeath element but it's fairly solid and riffy, like the haunted but better
| | | I enjoyed it. It's nothing groundbreaking but does it need to be?
| | | I just don't have any desire to listen to a track like this more than once or twice, it feels very shallow. People are comparing it to Godless Prophets material but that actual sounded inspired, this does not.
| | | Still remember putting Godless Prophets on for the first time while on my work commute. Almost got into a wreck during the Knife in the Safe Room breakdown
| | | Also this is a good moment to plug the new Number 12 single as well

yo, good shout. I gave up on checking back on that shit
| | | Like usual, I completely disagree with the other people on this site. I think this is the best they’ve sounded in a long while. DH has been pretty disappointing since Norris left, but this is finally a good start in the right direction…

| | | One more time for the people in the back!
| | | This is so lacking in anything distinct that I can't even begin to understand that take lol. This is just a bog standard heavy track for them, there are tons of tracks that they've put out post-Norris that are similar in style.
| | | Not bad, just completely forgettable. We'll see how the rest of the album turns out.
