Underdark Welcome Annihilation 2026-09-04 by John Marinakis CONTRIBUTOR | 1 Comments | Underdark will release their third studio album, O Come Forth Annihilation, on November 6 through Church Road Records.
The seven-track record follows 2023's Managed Decline and continues the Nottingham band's combination of black metal, post-rock, screamo and post-hardcore.
While its predecessor examined the decline of post-industrial Britain, O Come Forth Annihilation expands its focus to the crises and anxieties shaping the present. The album portrays an increasingly suffocating and uncertain world through music intended to reach beyond the boundaries of Underdark's black-metal foundations.
Its first single, Non Linear Warfare, builds steadily through several movements before reaching an explosive conclusion. According to the band, the song concerns the repeated use of lies and propaganda, and the struggle to disconnect from the forces spreading them.
