Europe's First Album In 9 Years 2026-09-03 by John Marinakis CONTRIBUTOR | 3 Comments | Europe have released Scandinavian Eyes, the third song unveiled from their forthcoming studio album, Come This Madness.
Built upon a driving guitar riff, prominent orchestral arrangements and an anthemic chorus, the track examines the act of crossing the boundary between good and less honorable intentions. Joey Tempest has described it as one of his favorite Europe songs in recent years.
The accompanying performance video was directed by longtime collaborator Patric Ullaeus, who also created the band's videos for the preceding singles One on One and The Cult of Ignorance.
Due September 25 through Silver Lining Music and Hell & Back Recordings, Come This Madness will be Europe's first album since 2017's Walk the Earth.
The record was produced by Tom Dalgety and mixed by Mike Fraser, while Ghost's Tobias Forge and Opeth's Mikael Åkerfeldt contribute backing vocals. Europe will promote it alongside a tour celebrating the fortieth anniversary of The Final Countdown.
