I mean the previous single wasn’t groundbreaking but it was a fun song with a bit more punk influence than your usual architects song. This is fucking boring, melodies are ass. They are one of those bands that could release a good EP every now and then but they’re making these uninspired full lengths with 3-4 enjoyable songs on them while everything else straight up sucks.

Everyone knew this was the direction Architects would continue in after FTTWTE went #1 in certain regions. Anyone who was expecting anything similar to the heaviness of Lost Forever or All Our Gods was delusional and taking bong rips off some fleeting copium.

This is who Architects are now. Expect one or two riffs, a tight three minute song, and songwriting centered around singalong choruses, ultimately meticulously designed for Sirius FM Octane radio plays and streaming.

Hell, they’re so “in it for the bag” they decided slapping some edgy font on a whitish background would pass as an album cover.

The thing that gets me is they could really nail the sound with Sams vocal capabilities but they have taken the laziest road to do this. Also the hate the band had for There Here And Now is hilarious to think about when they put this out.

How can anyone who's been following this band - not even from the beginning- but from say, 2016 actually listen to this and say "yeah this is awesome". But don't worry Sam&co media will bend over backwards once again to make you sound edgy and modern.

I don't hate it but at the same time I like Animals so I guess this Octane-Core shit just doesn't bother me that much. I don't see it becoming a viral-ish track like Animals though, it doesn't have that strong of a hook.
