Eat the Day (Wes Borland) demos released 2020-04-08 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 5 Comments | Eat the Day, the post-Limp Bizkit project of Wes Borland that eventually morphed into The Damning Well and later paved the way for Black Light Burns, have released a compilation of demos that were recorded before being permanently shelved due to the group's inability to find a suitable vocalist.
The tracks, allegedly recorded around 2003 before Borland's first reunion with Limp Bizkit, display a more progressive form of alternative metal, along with some ideas that would later form parts of future Borland compositions.

There's something in the heart of Lord Kali
Kali lights the children's heads on fire
And causes disease to spread
But Kali is our friend
And Kali is the sweethog...
Mount the sweethog...
| | | Even though I have big time nostalgia for the heyday forums, looking back we talked about a lot of pleb tier stuff. There was lots of, “who’s better, Wes Borland or Tom Morello”, etc
| | | Wes did bring the riffs in LB though
Vastly underutilized guitarist who should've played in a way better band (as much as LB is a bit of a guilty pleasure).
| | | It’s clear the dude is immensely talented, this is cool and I’m looking forward to see his collaboration with Travis Barker, one of the better pop-punk drummers of the genre. I’ll never forget the fills when I first heard Dumpweed for the first time.
