I thought this was about the band that did the Pete and Pete song.
| |
like the artistic direction of this hoho
| |
I don’t see their appeal but they really bring out the best of the crowd live.
| |
The chorus brings this song down so much, it's a real bummer. Everything else is great but the fact that they hit it so many times really takes away from the song as a whole.
| |
Yeah hoping this is just the "The Remedy" of tbeir next album, albeit the chorus of this is nowhere as good Remedys
| |
why does the production sound so much more flat compared to their first album
| |
not a fan of the amity style choruses they've been doing for the full length and now this, I prefer the raw aggression of songs like Regress.
| |
This was okay
| |
the painter is dream on dreamers clean vocalist
| |
Shout out Zach Britt
Oh nice moments knows
| |
Would imagine this is the softer single off the album and some heavy stuff will be coming up soon
| |
I can dig it , chorus comes around to many times but cool to hear Jamie own some cleans.
| |
Polaris should be above these crap warped tour choruses.
| |
Punk Goes Polaris
This definitely feels a little watered down as far as their core sound goes compared to The Mortal Coil, but as long as the entire new album doesn't carry this same tone, I'm cool with it.
Feels like this would have been better released in the summer, but then there was a barrage of new -core vying for everyone's attention back then it seemed.
| |
^ summer's only a couple of weeks away in Polaris' (and my) part of the world. This will be fun to blast on a sunny day while having a few beers with mates
For anyone concerned about the direction of the album based on this, you should check out one of the live videos of Hypermania. It's definitely more like a Consume from TMC. No clean singing in it at all.
| |
They said they wanted to do something a little different with this song so I expect the rest of the album to lean in a heavier and less chorus driven direction.
| |
Oh shit! That's right! Southern Hemisphere summer is right across the corner m/
Good point, Macros! I wouldn't say I'm concerned about the overall direction, I just am couching my hopes a bit.
| |
The chorus isn't that good, but the other parts of the song are solid. I really dig that outro with Jamie doing some "lows" but I miss his growls man :[
Best part of the whole song is Zach Britt in the video tho, my fuckin boi
| |
Banger as per normal from these guys.
Also hilarious that 'Zach Britt is your boy' ^. I saw him live last night (Young Lions) and sent the exact same thing in a snapchat to a mate.
| |
The title got me all excited for new Mark Mulcahy stuff ):
| |
Bro Dedicated nice, I want to see Young Lions live so badly but I'm in the states. Zach Britt has been my favorite clean vocalist for years now
| |
He is super talented Steak. I've been lucky enough to see Young Lions 3 times and Dream On Dreamer once as well. Met him after one YL show, then he stopped me in the crowd at the DOD show to point out my YL tee that he actually sold to me haha. Super happy and chilled bloke to his fans as well. Has so much time for everyone. Spends the majority of Young Lions shows IN the crowd singing along with everyone. Excellent showman.
| |
Dude that's awesome, he's always seemed like such a good guy. From the shows I've watched on youtube and whatnot he's solid live too, I love watching him perform
| |
"I thought this was about the band that did the Pete and Pete song."
HEY, SANDY!
