The moment of truth is upon us. I know the question you're all asking, does it break the fragile? Well of course it does ya silly gooses.

....I don't see a stream? Only pre-ordering
|
| |
In the little picture of the album art it says "Listen Now." Click on that.
|
| |
Nope it doesn't. I suspect it's an American only stream
|
| |
That's a strong possibility. Try going to the homepage, if the stream isn't advertised there, then I suspect your theory is correct.
|
| |
Great album! My only complaint is that it slows down after Satellite and doesn't pick up again until album highlight In Two.
|
| |
^write a review
|
| |
Satellite is so damn catchy.
|
| |
Fuckin' can't stream outside of 'Murcia!
|
| |
It's leaked anyway WhiteNoise, I'm sure you can find a DL.
|
| |
After first listen, it's like a 3. Maybe it will grow on me tho.
|
| |
It's cool after a first listen. It's definitely influenced by HTDA and Pretty Hate Machine and it doesn't feel like a continuation to The Downward Spiral. Cool new direction even though it lacks some aggro guitars.
|
| |
Three songs in and I'm embarrassed to have to been a fan of this band.
|
| |
Three songs in and I'm embarrassed to have to been a fan of this band.
Maybe you should feel more embarrassed that it's not really a band, but it's an artist.
|
| |
"Three songs in and I'm embarrassed to have to been a fan of this band."

|
| |
Shit, still need to listen to this sometime
|
| |

i kinda want to jam pixies tho ugh
|

"Shit, still need to listen to this sometime"
Well considering it was only leaked like a day ago and just became available to stream I'd say you have you havent wasted much time putting it off.
|

The album is okay. It's about on par with The Slip, and doesn't reach the quality of Welcome Oblivion or Year Zero. There are some definite highlights, though, such as All Time Low.
|
| |
A hard 4 upon first listen.
|
| |
This is way better than The Slip, but okay. And Welcome Oblivion shouldnt even be brought up in the
conversation because technically it has nothing to do with NIN.
|
| |
oh my god all time low is amazing. this is going so well so far.
|
| |
i actually find all time low to be one of the weaker tracks. it's a 4 right now for me, could go higher.
|
| |
All Time Low is easily one of the best songs on here, but I could see why a person like you would think it was weak. Why dont you go headbang to a Green day or linkin park song
lol
|
| |
If y'all don't like All Time Low, y'all can't get down to some slick, self-deprecating aggressive funk.
|
| |
Ya fiddlin' bens
|
| |
i'm hearing a lot of "this is the best thing since The Fragile" sentiment, and while I have no problem putting it ahead of With Teeth, Ghosts and The Slip, let's not forget about a little underrated masterpiece called Year Zero, which is a stone cold 4.5.
and yes, all time low is the best track on here.
|
| |
Year Zero is criminally underrated.
|
| |
i'm hearing a lot of "this is the best thing since The Fragile" sentiment
That is being said mainly because every album after The Fragile has sucked dick until now.
|
| |
I definitely prefer Year Zero to this, but it's a new electro-industrial direction for this guy. Cool album.
|
| |
Year Zero is definitely underrated, and it's easily his best best album following his classic era
records. Also, if you don't think Welcome Oblivion belongs in the discussion then that's perfectly
fine, though I would include it in the larger scope of Trent Reznor's music, which is what I
was commenting on.
|
| |
Yeah, All Time Low sounds dead out of place from the rest of the album. Might be a grower though.
|
| |
Also, Various Methods of Escape is a tune!
|
| |
^Yep, that song is good.
|
| |
I think the album dips just a little bit in the middle. The beginning and end are definitely the stronger parts of the album. Really impressed by it though.
|
| |
amazed there's no first-listen 5 reviews yet
|
| |
Sputnik is all grown up :')
|
| |
I was impressed by that too lol.
|
| |
Sputnik is all grown up :')
As if.
|
| |
"Sputnik is all grown up :')"
You obviously missed the shitty/troll lists the past few days.
|
| |
sweeeeeeet.
|
| |
This is a hard 4 right now for me. I'm probably going to review this later.
|
| |
ill probably neg it
|
| |
I found it a lil too long but it's gooood
|
| |
Too long?
|
| |
I found it a lil too long but it's gooood
???
|
| |
"Year Zero is criminally underrated."
So is With Teeth.
|
| |
Trent hasn't made a good album since the Fragile. I hope you guys aren't lying and this is awesome
|
| |
I replaced the old album artwork with the one found on the Deluxe CD version. But there are so many good variations on the album cover for different versions, not sure which one is best to use!
|
| |
6 songs in and this is a 3 at best. Sigh...
|
| |
You can stream it outside of America, you are just idiots.
I'm streaming it outside of America as we speak.
|
| |
People judge shit way too quickly. Album isn't as immediate as some of his other work, but it's pretty awesome otherwise. There are some seriously killer tracks on this record
|
| |
Maybe you should feel more embarrassed that it's not really a band, but it's an artist.
Whatever Reznor wants to call himself, he works out too much to care about his music anymore. And to all you fuckers who told me to shut the fuck up, have fun blowing your loads quickly. I bet you will hate this in a year when Sputnik starts hating on this album.
|
| |
shut the fuck up [3]
|
| |
Lol.
|
| |
shut the fuck up [4]
|
| |
shut the fuck up [5]
copy of a, i would for you, various methods of escape and find my way rock hard
|
| |
"..., let's not forget about a little underrated masterpiece called Year Zero, which is a stone cold 4.5." [2]
So far my favs are All Time Low And In Two. I bloody love this album. Although I'm a biased NIN fanboy
|
| |
3.5 at best for me! I loved With Teeth. This album is totally different, which is cool, but it's up and down too much throughout the album.
I was a sucker for what the album was looking to become after the release of "Copy of A" and "Came Back Haunted." I thought we were going to get some industrial dance, techno mind fack, but ehh. This may be an album I need to blast in my car rather than listen to with headphones. Will try again tomorrow!
:D
|
| |
It's a great comeback album, I fell like Trent saved his best material for this one, great tunes, and a lot of vibes from PHM, The Fragile and Year Zero.
|
| |
Feels like Pretty Hate machine meets With teeth. Diggin'
|
| |
The only song where he actually sounds convinced of his own lyrics is Everything. He so obviously isn't angsty anymore
|
| |
is wizard still 14
|
| |
not yet
|
| |
benjamin button over here with a static brain cant even comprehend nin lol
|
| |
2deep
|
| |
This album rocks so hard on my subs in my car.
and LOL Foxxxy!!
|
| |
I think this is NIN best album since The Fragile, I feel like there is a really strong Fragile vibe on it which is great
|
| |
"Disappointed" is the only disappointment on the album IMO. Everything else rocks hard.
|
| |
Guess I need to listen/read the review.
|
| |
"So is With Teeth."
I agree, With Teeth was awesome. I never was a huge fan until I listened to that album. Year Zero just continued the greatness.
|
| |
Year Zero was actually the first album I ever heard by him.
|
| |
Whatever Reznor wants to call himself, he works out too much to care about his music anymore. And to all you fuckers who told me to shut the fuck up, have fun blowing your loads quickly. I bet you will hate this in a year when Sputnik starts hating on this album.
Oh shut the fuck up old man. Go pluck your wrinkly scrotum while you listen to the Tragically Hip you crotchedy fuck.
|
| |
You're an ass
|
| |
The man deserved it, he was being insufferable.
|
| |
I'm sorry, you thought I disapproved.
You're a magnificent ass.
Kim Kardashian, not Miley Cyrus.
Am I relevant yet?
