That album art is beautiful but the name is really lame.

| |

It's not quite up to the standard of previous album titles, but yeah, the artwork looks great. Definitely my most looked forward to album of the year.

Article about release date with no release date. Awesome can't wait for the unknown.
|
| |
unfortunately i think this is going to be the start of their decline
they've been the staple of consistency for so long, though, so it wouldn't surprise me if this was awesome either
|
| |
Such a pessimist.
|
| |
Going to be awesome.
|
| |
2012 just won't stop will it. So many albums from great bands to look forward to. Can't wait.
|
| |
Have you heard my band yet.
|
| |
Which is...
|
| |
I'm curious to hear the direction they're taking.
They will have to try hard to 'CONFRONT THE GUILT 'N TRYYY TO OVERCOME' their previous album, which was incredible.
|
| |
har har har
Last album was great so here's hoping this is.
Although some of the heavy riffs sound awkward with Jonas' vocals at times.
|
| |
"That album art is beautiful but the name is really lame."
It goes well with another gem such as "Night is the New Day". :D
Hope this new album doesn't sound like the previous 2.
|
| |
Didn't think it could get cheesier than 'Night is the New Day.' I see I was wrong.
|
| |
That being said, fantastic band
|
| |
ItsOnlyWords: My bad, release is August 27th (EU) or 28th (US). Should have mentioned it in the article, but hey, following a link isn't hard.
|
| |
Getting the promo next week!!! Kick ass.
|
| |
*jealous*
|
| |

Album art is terrific. Been waiting for this for awhile.
|
| |
sick fucking album art
|
| |
2012 has been great so far
I hope katatonia continue the trend!
|
| |
they will
|
| |
Guess what I'm listening to!
|
| |
how good is it?
|
| |
Just tell us it's different from the last two and I'll be happy.
|
| |
It's really good. It's not nearly as instant, but their songs have finally kind of expanded out.
|
| |
can't wait.
|
| |
"Guess what I'm listening to!"
*jealous*
Is it on par with their last album? Because I really loved that one. "Departer" and "Idle Blood" are two of their best songs, and the album as a whole was very consistent. It's a shame that many on Sputnik don't like the direction they've taken.
|
| |
It's hard to say because this is much less instant. It's more melodic and mellow. It's kind of like they took their previous sound and mixed it with a bit of Anathema and The Cure. It's really good, but I can see that it's a grower.
|
| |
interesting
|
| |
Hell ya Willie, thanks for reporting in.
|
| |
yea, we'll see how this turns out.
Gyro: funny you mentioned my fav songs of that album, and they fucking rule. But as whole, can't say I've enjoyed NITND.
|
| |
I'll admit it's probably my favorite Katatonia album.
|
| |
The last three albums are my personal favorites from them.
|
| |
Really can't wait to get my hands on this album.
Sputnik should put a countdown watch for this release.
|
| |
"It's kind of like they took their previous sound and mixed it with a bit of Anathema and The Cure. It's really good, but I can see that it's a grower."
Well, now I'm really anticipating this will be awesome.
"Gyro: funny you mentioned my fav songs of that album, and they fucking rule. But as whole, can't say I've enjoyed NITND."
Haha, that's an odd coincidence. Granted I think they're the clear highlights, but until now no one I've discussed this album with has shared my favourites.
