Lame, was looking forward to seeing what else this band had in store. Antimacy was pretty weak compared to The Machines We Are, not quite the last hoo rah i would have expected.
| |
Fuck. All 3 of their albums are fantastic. I was really looking forward to the next one.
| |
Antimacy was their worst work yet.. they can't go out like that can they? I think some new bands are coming out of this
| |
Sounds like it, the end of their Facebook message says
"Oh, and stay tuned for some other BIG announcements."
| |
^ That's just some political talk for "stay liked on our facebook page".
Antimacy was RAD. Too bad their departure was because of fanatical restraints.
| |
This sucks, but I saw it coming. Loved all three of there albums and I will definitely miss them.
| |
That fucking blows. Their last one was alright but the two before it were fantastic.
RIP
| |
Cool they gave a shout out to The Holly Springs Disaster and Straight Reads The Line though.
| |
fuck! shitty news. antimacy was decent.
| |
Pretty difficult to label this under the "Major Loss" cabinet...
| |
I'm sad about this one. I didn't love them or anything but I spin both of their past records fairly often, and always thought they had the potential to do something great. Their vocalist was outstanding, the rest of the band was a bit bland, was hoping to see that change in the future. Guess not D:
| |
Oops, just submitted an article about this without seeing this one.
I am truly gutted, they were a raw and gritty band that produced some fantastic records and i enjoyed their lyrics more
than most.
| |
I only really liked Teeth from them anyway
| |
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO : C
| |
always hated these dinks.
| |
I will label this under the Major Loss cabinet
| |
Fuck =|
| |
Got to see them live a few times, they were pretty good.
| |
their live performances aren't that exciting
| |
I saw them only once in '08, just when they released their first LP, I remember the crowd didn't move AT ALL and they were just begging for people to move. They put on a pretty good show though, hopefully they hit up all of Canada one more time.
| |
They better do a Canadian farewell tour.
| |
Band members who don't get along always make the best albums, just ask Mogwai
| |
apparently they're only doing one more show in their hometown
| |
They better Spec, I really can't see them just going that last show and ending it there. If you're going to call it quits after 10 years you might as well go all out with a cross-country tour.
| |
For anyone interested. Members from D+D as well as boys from The Holly Springs disaster are in a band called Bare Bones who have an EP on their facebook for free download

| |
That Facebook link just takes me to the home page.
| |
Have to sign in.
| |
I did, still took me to the home page.
| |
Same here. Couldn't find them either. Seems to be a popular band name for older folks though.
| |
That is really sad, I dug them in the past..and now I am unable to ever see them live at all. Sucks.
| |

Here ya go, they're nothing special tbh.
| |
Sad to see them go now, Antimacy was my least favourite record by them.. Bare Bones have a solid sound going though. Kind of a cross between D&D and ETID
| |
FINALLY!
| |
(empty)
| |
