2 Lil Wayne Songs Leaked

2009-06-17 by PuddleSwimmer | 35 Comments
Three Lil Wayne songs were leaked onto the net and are being rapidly removed - most likely due to these songs being on the never-going-to-come major release, Rebirth. 2 songs are still up, but one has been removed.

The songs are called "Ready For The World", "Ground Zero (feat. Tyga)", and "Girls Forever". Descriptions for the songs state that they tend to stray away from the stylings of Wayne's Rebirth single, "Prom Queen".

A decription of the removed "Ready For The World" actually says the words 'Tool-esque riffs' that follow a 'bassline similar to Jane’s Addiction’s “Mountain Song"'.

Listen for yourself via the leak:

Weezy's rock album is due out August 18th.

Maybe.

i youtubed ready for the world... apparently a generic guitar = tool-esque riffs. its as bad as you'd expect from lil wayne. there's no doubt his career and talent topped out with 'on a boat'

Is hip hop dead? or is most of the thugs find being a goon too boring? Well, when you're living in a mansion and earning billions it does seem kinda odd talking about street games in every album. I dont blame 50 cent not being motivated to rap anymore.
Its better to burn than fade away. Atleast they're trying to do something different. The problem is that the DIFFERENT stuff isnt appealing. its too out there and not in an "alternative" way

Why does anybody even care about this guy anymore? Obviously he doesn't have enough talent to write his own music, he sounds horrible when he sings, and now he is trying to play guitar? I hope his album fails horribly.

I really didn't need to see this piece of news... I was happy pretending that this record would never happen and a "leak" means
that they are still actually working on it. And here was me hoping that Lil Wayne would die in a drugged out stupor on the side of
the road.

Hip hop isn't dead it's on life support . . .well all of music is on life support with people who have no music talent using their connections to get signed and put out wonderful gems like "you're a jerk" "crank that" "freaxxx" and "higher" for us to hear. People don't become musicians for the music anymore all they see is the money, fame and sheep who will buy whatever they put their name too.

The good hip hop doesn't sell anymore and it doesn't get attention at all.Now hip hop is just party and bullshit.

"you may be right, but i stand by my statement. they are all the same anyways. "

you're exposing your ignorance. t-pain isn't a rapper. he's rapped on one single song on his latest album. he belongs more or less within the genre of hip hop, but he's not a rapper.

lil' wayne has delved into singing lately, but he is first and foremost a rapper. he's been rapping since the late 90's.

so in conclusion, they're not the same at all.

"The good hip hop doesn't sell anymore and it doesn't get attention at all.Now hip hop is just party and bullshit."

hip hop has always been party and bullshit. the sugarhill gang rapped about having fun and partying. in fact, almost all early hip hop was about that. even later lyrical pioneers like rakim rapped about having fun and how good they were.

"doesn't have enough talent to write his music"

what the hell is that supposed to mean?

It means that he pays for his samples, melodies, and percussion. The only thing this guy does is ramble on about the same old shit.

And by the way, they are all the same. You can try to sound as smart as you want, but this type of music has been reduced to the same god damn beat and songs that have no depth nor technical songwriting ability.

Lol illmitch is right.
But, the only REAL rappers are Mos Def and Common, because they rap about political, social, and economic conscious. Real rappers are hard to find, like a remote.

And please Gossamer, you're acting quite ignorant. More ignorant than me, and ask anybody on the hip-hop subforum, that's pretty ignorant.
But I suppose you're right. I mean, to have this much critical acclaim, public attention, not to mention having the most sold album of 2008 with Tha Carter III means you're obviously doing something wrong musically.

You do realize that most southern rappers don't use samples, and rather create their own music?

Your ignorance is revealing itself like a teenage prom date getting drunk for the first time.

What the hell are you guys fightin about???!
Being stagnant isnt what music is about. If everyone will rap about rims or hustling and every song is gonna be bout guns coming out that will blow my brains out.
But being auto-tune and singing about intergallatic space shuttles is going way beyond music a mammal like me can digest.
