New Anacrusis Material Possible

2009-04-01 by Trey STAFF | 11 Comments
In an interview with Heavy Metal Examiner, Kenn Nardi (Vocals/Guitars) discussed the band's reunion for a few European Festivals. He also expressed a desire to do some concerts stateside. When asked about new material he stated:

"Well, at this point none of us is particularly interested in doing the full-time band thing. Anacrusis disappeared without any real “goodbye,” and over the years we seem to have grown in popularity…or at least in recognition. There are several opportunities ahead of us, so we’ll see what happens, but we’d love to give as many of the old and new fans as possible a chance to see us live. That is the starting point and the rest will depend on how much of a demand there is for us at this point."

Later in the interview, he further reinforced the possibility of new material when speaking of his project, Cruel April:

"Some of the others were completed but I haven’t done anything with them and a few heavier songs may be re-worked for Anacrusis if we decide to record any new material."

These types of statements might not mean a whole lot, but it does mean that they're open to the idea of another album, which will be a huge thing for most of their fans.

Than I'm assuming you know of their website where all their albums are free and there's tons of demos and videos; right?

Good man. I already had most of the CDs, but I did download the debut and the remixed version of Manic Impressions (I prefer the orginal, though). I just listened to all the demos through the website, because I know I wouldn't ever listen to them again.

Got one of these from their webpage but wasn't too impressed. That said I think the one I got was their first album (Suffering Hour), not sure if the other albums are any better.

The other albums are all much better. Check out Screams and Whispers before you make your mind up about these guys.... and if you like it get Manic Impressions too.

Awesome. Looking forward to hearing what you have to say (there's a review for that album, so maybe post any opinions there).

My god if they made another album it would be insanely cool. I really hope the band comes around to the idea within the next couple years.
