After six years of touring and recording, Funeral for a Friend's bassist and backing vocalist Gareth Davies has decided to leave the band for personal reasons. The remaining members of Funeral for a Friend have already found a replacement in Gavin Burrough who has been a part of such acts as Hondo Maclean, The Future, and Ghostlines.

Funeral for a Friend will be releasing their fourth record entitled "Memory and Humanity" on October 13, 2008.

Funeral for a friend is my favorite band of all time even though ive only heard a f of their songs. I hope every understands this abbreviated form of english...

No...their last album wasn't that great but they certainly don't suck.
This. Rough news, he was a really big part of their live show. I've only seen them once but his back up voice was excellent on every harmony. Hope things work out.
