Hahaha. Most metal 30 seconds of my life.

what sort of insight do these miniscule clips offer??
|
| |
They've completely lost it....
They've gone mad.
I understand if old musicians lose their flair, but this is just stupid.
|

what sort of insight do these miniscule clips offer?? That at least 30 seconds of the album sounds pretty good (maybe not all at once, but 30 seconds over its entirety).
|

Bloody Hell, it may be just 30 seconds, but it's the most promising thing I've heard off Metallica for the last 17 years. Lot's of palm muted, thrash metal chuggery. I like.

They're too embarrassed to post the full song so they posted the best 10 seconds of it just so that people buy the album.
|
| |
Yeah, the new single will be available at 11am PST today.

Missio Metallica is gonna die from too many hits. I'll leave it for a bit.
|
| |
That wasn't bad at all, I kind of liked it. Definitely headbangable.
|
| |
ha ha 10 seconds...these guys are retarded
|
| |
honestly has anyone heard the live track they had up ?
"suicide! ive already died!"
who likes this type of stuff?
i mean seriously, lars said "our old music used to take you on a journey and tell stories!"
what a moron. 1984 was 24 years ago. ride the lightning is good for 1984. 1984. 1984. 1984
2008 provides the ability for stunning production/musicianship. do something great.
guess they're not metal gods.
judas priest still has solid releases.
this is pathetic and lame. id rather listen to madonna's "ray of light"
|
| |
Your an idiot ^
|
| |
That was pretty sweet to be honest
|
| |
judas priest's last record sucked
|

Hey asaf,
Could you please put more spaces in your post, it was way to jumbled to read.
|
| |
another generic unfunny comment about what point this had.
|
| |
those were all really boring
|
| |
Well, those 30 secs ARE pretty headbangeable... and I'm definitelly getting this album regardless the reviews (which I'm hoping will be good), and regardless how bad St. Anger was.
And I don't know what is up with people (yes asaf, I'm looking at you) already hating on this album even if no single has been officially released: Cyanide was performed live so it can still get some changes.
|

The day that never comes is on there myspace, I like it
|
| |
Thanks for the heads up man, I just listened to it and I also like it. It's kinda Load or Reload-like, but it's still quite good
|
| |
^^^ Hmmmm........last i checked the Loads didn't have fast palm mutes and fast drumming.
|

This compares in NO way to older Metallica albums. It isn't thrash at all.
It IS, however, the BEST Metallica song since Enter Sandman off the Black Album. That to me was there transition from Old Metallica and New Metallica.
I thought the drums sounded a lot better than St. Anger... I mean, an idiot can figure that out. I thought the lead work was poor. They did a lot of harmonizing, but it was pretty basic stuff... like, stuff I do to warm up, which means they didn't put much thought into it. They got lazy on it. A guitarist should get better as he ages, but the solo's are shit when compared to the likes of The Four Horsemen, One and stuff like that.
I liked how it transitioned after the 4 minute mark though, then again at the 5 minute mark, which is what saves the song. If the rest of the album is fast and up tempo like the end of this song, then expect a Very good Metallica album... but just to remind you guys, they have The Unforgiven III still to come... and I highly doubt that to be a fast song.
I in no way like Lars, but this is his best work in years, so give him a little credit.
If this wasn't Metallica, I'd say it was a very good song, but I expect better from them... I've been expecting better from them since And Justice for All though. James, just give us one song where you scream so loud your voice cracks like when you were going through puberty.
