lol
|
| |
Holy fuck this album is going to be a ton of fun. Or an Ultra Beatdown?
|
| |
 This will probably be so ridiculous.
|
| |
In a good way though. I'm looking forward to this.
|
| |
I really hope this is like their first two. Valley of the Damned is still pretty good and Sonic Firestorm is tolerable. Inhuman Rampage is like Fury of the Storm for 40+ minutes.
|
| |
LOL, at the title's...I probably can expect much of the same from these guys, a few good tracks that sounds like all the other tracks.
|
| |
I'm looking forward to this, but I'm not expecting anything better than Inhuman Rampage, but if it is I will be happy
|
| |
I'm guessing Track 8 will be the obligatory ballad. I don't have high hopes for this as Inhuman Rampage sucked. Hard. But, I would be pretty happy if they returned to Valley of the Damned or Sonic Firestorm's style.
|
| |
I'll give it a listen just for the title.
|
| |
They're talented, just not at writing songs.
I don't have high hopes for this because Inhuman Rampage was basically the same song over and over again.
|
| |
best album title EVARRRR
But i doubt this will be too great. They pretty much "sold out" and got way too much publicity for gh, so my guess is this will be a bigger letdown than Inhuman Rampage.
Sonic Firestorm owns hard though, as does Valley of the damned, and Inhuman Rampage has some awesome songs as well.
|
| |
LOL@the title of the album. I am calling it right now, Heartbreak Armageddon will be the best song on the album.
|
| |
How the hell did this band "sell out"? Just because they're popular doesn't mean they've sold out. I don't think it's possible for Dragonforce to sell out. They have that Motorhead-esque style of writing the same song album after album.
Unlike Motorhead, they're starting to wear a bit thin.
Regardless, I enjoy Dragonforce, and will undoubtedly find something to love in this.
|
| |
I didnt really mean "sell out," i mean they're getting too much attention.
|
| |
i have a feeling they're gonna be playing this style of music for a LONG time.....
you'd think they'd progress a little...
|
| |
surely the greatest band of our time
|
| |
im curious to see what it will sound like, hopefully it will have more variety than past releases. at least there will be another ridiculous song in guitar hero world tour
|
| |
They're talented, just not at writing songs.
I have to agree. If they had more variations within each song, or better transitions or something. Or just freakin slowed down every once in a while, they're songs might be more memorable.
Will still check this out though, Inhuman Rampage had some great moments.
|
| |
hahah ultra beatdown. sounds like a bad tournament fighter off of the SNES.
|
| |
I don't think it's possible for Dragonforce to sell out. True story. LOL @ the title and pretty excited to hear this.

Good band. I hope they include some solos in this album though...
|
| |
^^^
Sarcastic comment is sarcastic
|
| |
I cant explain how hard I laughed at that title.
|
| |
I hope its like SF i loved that album and valley of the damned but when they released inhuman rampage i really went off them.
|
| |
Ultra... Beatdown...
Lol.
|
| |
VoTD is my favourite of theirs.
Apparently this is the first album by these guys to incllude a mid-tempo song that isn't a ballad.
|
| |
To me "Ultra Beatdown" just sounds like a reality show based on masturbation.... but that's just me......
lol @ this band
|
| |
To me "Ultra Beatdown" just sounds like a reality show based on masturbation.... but that's just me......
LMAO!!!!
|
| |
And just when I thought the cheese-o-tron had hit its limit....
Ultra Beatdown
(I laughed even WRITING that name)
|
| |
LOL @ everyone who listens to DragonForce for the lyrics
"Ultra Beatdown"...wow...ROFL! Apparently, DF's Cheese-o-tron goes all the way up to 11...
|
| |
05. Heartbreak Armageddon......
hahahaha
|
| |
And just when I thought the cheese-o-tron had hit its limit....
Don't you mean butter-o-tron?
|
| |
DragonForce are the band that seem to embody just about every power metal cliche. They have only two tempos: metal and ballad. Same with song structures. Their favorite notes are sixteenth notes. Entire albums seem to be recorded in the same key. All lyrics make at least two references to geography (mountains, valleys, plains, etc). Dueling guitar solos lasting in excess of two minutes each. They couldn't possibly be more cliche unless they started lifting lyrics straight out of DnD rulebooks.
And yet, I still love them.
|
| |
don't forget the singer's LOOK HOW HIGH MY NOTES ARE balls-in-a-vice histrionics over all the music and the switching bassist and the double-bass overabuse
|
| |
derekchewie11 - my nominee for comment of the year.
|
| |
Still expecting every song to sound the same with a few new and improved Nes effects.
|
| |
God dammit we miss you around here Steerpike! We need some more fresh humour.
|
| |
I wouldn't call my humor fresh. More like bitter, cynical, and vodka-soaked.
Anyway, most of my humor writing is spent on my blog these days and a lot of time is going into trying to make enough money that I don't have to eat ramen noodles this week.
|
| |
ramen noodles are good if you don't eat ramen noodles a lot but im sure you already knew that so i don't know why i even typed this but thats okay because im ready for the ultra beatdown and stuff.
|
| |
Hahahaha whatever you want to call your humour Steerpike, it makes me laugh. Do you have a link to your blog?

The Suggestion Box is basically a mouthpiece for me to rant about things that I hate and describe how things that I like are awesome.
So yeah, Dragonforce. They do defy one cliche. They prefer beer with their cheese instead of wine.
I should be smacked for that.
|
| |
new album details: Dragonforce is releasing the same album yet again.
|
| |
Steerpike, hahaha that was a fun read.
You should do blog on sports stars doing solo albums ie. SHAQ!
|
| |
Just for the hell of it, I went through the lyrics of all three albums and counted up the number of times they reference some form of geography.
60. 60 references, with seas being the most common at 15 and mountains a close second at 12. Also keep in mind, this is not counting all the times they say "the land of (adjective/noun)". This is also not counting all references to heavenly bodies (i.e. the sun, the moon, stars, etc), horizons, skies, hellfire, or variants on the words darkness and light. This Message Edited On 06.06.08

| |
How many times do they reference the word 'gay'?
|
| |
lol i noticed they havent talked much about what it will sound like because everybody already knows from the other albums.
