Song was disappointing.
|

Trent just seems to be making a relatively accessible, radio-ready album...I'm good with it...he said somewhere this has no relation to what music he may make in the future.
However, it's a lot better than Discipline...it's more like The Fragile than With Teeth...it actually doesn't sound like any of their other stuff. It's slow-burning and kind of cryptic. I like this one. This Message Edited On 05.03.08

There is no way that song had any sound related to The Fragile Moonlight. Not by a long shot.
That was horrible, garage band crap with some electronic excursions at best. I really have no faith in Reznor anymore. He had me with Ghosts but yet again, he is disappointing.
|
| |
Whatever, your just a freaking poser who doesn't like the fact that Reznor doesn't scream "FUCK THE WORLD!" anymore. The guitar is quite visceral and aggressive, and it's got dense backdrops. Thus: The Fragile.

You make me laugh Moonlight.

^^ "you're both yo-yo's.....shut up you yo-yo's".
....anyways, i dont hear the similarities to the fragile.

is there anyway to download this anywhere else. my f'ing computer blocks (almost) everything. might as well just wait until the album is released tomorrow now. hopefully.
and as for everyone dissing their new stuff. it's good. end of.
|
| |
Thank you. TR actually has a bit of integrity now-if he went out and shouted "I Hate the World!" at 43, it'd be a bit unconvincing.

Nope.
|
| |
didnt he just release an album?
|
| |
Yeah, he's been on autodrive with GOOD music as of late.
The_Wizard is lacking concept of good NIN music; he voted Broken better than TDS, and Things Falling Apart as their best remix album...rofl...Pretty Hate Machine better than W_T and YZ...roflThis Message Edited On 05.04.08

Wow Moonlight, does that make my opinion wrong? My tastes in music are far different than yours and yet you think that your opinion is the final word. You have got to be one of dumbest fuckers on this website. No wonder people are always giving you a hard time.
|
| |
Well, because your opinion on NIN's music as of late is: anything post-2000 sucks...or anything that doesn't sound like The Fragile sucks (which covers your Ghosts opinion.)
|
| |
^Things Falling Apart is still a pretty cool remix album despite the multiple Starfuckers mixes.

you convinced him tribes

oh come on girls, stop fighting. As for Nine Inch Nails' debate on whats good and whats not, If you will stop conforming to the thought that With Teeth sucks, there are some interesting and enjoyable songs on there, even more-so then The Fragile, now over-all the music "elites" will always say The Fragile is better then With Teeth or Year Zero for that matter, when I find Year Zero as more of a focused concept and a better experience. Now I picked up Ghosts I-IV a week ago and although I have not completely absorbed everything, It doesn't appeal to me too much. I think that the_wizard and MoonlightBleeding should both calm down and respect each others opinions. Here is my opinion on album rankings:
The Downward Spiral> Year Zero> The Fragile>With Teeth> Pretty Hate Machine> Ghosts I-IV(as for now)This Message Edited On 05.04.08

oh and for the record, Trent needs to calm down with the releases
|
| |
i agree that this song sounds fragile-ish/
|
| |
If people would settle down and actually LOOK into the releases, you'd see the depth and soundscapes into the song...there's a lot more to 'Echoplex' than what the_wizard hears on first listen.
2 A.M.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! New NIN album (or something else interesting)

Its not that I hate NIN because I'm an old school fan or anything regarding being an elitist, its just that his last few albums are shallow; thats all I see with most of his newer stuff. I really don't hear depth to his new stuff, or his latest single that I did give multiple listens to. Besides Ghosts, he hasn't put out anything original or invigorating that sparks my interest. Simple as that. Besides the odd tune off some of his newer albums, a majority of it is boring radio rock with some electronics thrown in to make it sound like he's being original. The only album worthy of calling a soundscape is Ghosts and thats it.
I think that the_wizard and MoonlightBleeding should both calm down and respect each others opinions. Here is my opinion on album rankings:
Maybe you should stop butting into other peoples business and stop trying to be a hero. I respect peoples opinions, just not Moonlights because he is ignorant as fuck.
