DT to release Greatest Hit CD

2008-01-02 by Trey STAFF | 26 Comments
Rhino Records has set a March 18 release date for a "best-of" double-CD from DREAM THEATER, entitled Greatest Hit & 19 Other Pretty Cool Songs.

From the title, it's at least obvious that "Pull Me Under" will be on there.

I like this band, and I like the fact that they can joke about theirselves. Kind of like NoFx's "Least Worst of..." album.

Hoping for Home, Spirit Carries On, maybe Yste Jam, Take This Life, Metropolis Pt. 1, and Octavarium.

Anything else would be cool, but those had god-damn better be there.

Agreed ^
Can't believe I hadn't seen this already =O Lol
Wow, considering pretty much alll their songs are equally as good/popular as each other, this is gunna be a tricky compilation to make.
This is already my most anticipated of 2008, in the hope that there's some new material.

Oh yeah I'm hoping they put ACOS on instead of Octavarium if they decide to use only one of them.

if you think of actual greatest hits they have had only pull me under would be on there but thankfully the media doesn't decide the tracklisting

as for the tracklist who cares most fans would have all the songs anyway, it would be cooler if they released a greatest hits but of unreleased live tracks instead

Score, Systematic Chaos, and now this? Holy fuck, someone on their label is pushing for a cash grab. This album will at least be good for people wanting to get into the band but don't know where to start.

Attention Dream Theater fags:
There is a much better, well known metal band called Dark Tranquillity, please stop using the DT abbreviation, it gets confusing, and it irritates fans of good music when they find out some moron is referencing this faggot tree instead.
