lol smash'd
|
| |
Aww now I'm curious.
|
| |
this list is absolutely craptacular
|
| |
there we go
|
| |
A metal magazine's top albums of the year. Now that won't be biased....
|
| |
The fact that WitR are not on here is just amazing. The albums on here are a bunch Core albums, not metal. This list is terrible.
|
| |
it's suppose to be biased towards metal since it's a metal mag >.< why would they have radiohead or Lupe when they are a metal mag?
|
| |
How very typical that The Blackening was top. At least Colors is on here.
|
| |
Colors is becoming pretty standard on the lists. It's as though they try to somehow validate their list by putting it on there.
|
| |
mainstream metal is boring.
but no one expected neurosis, russian circles, or boris to make it on there
edit: not that it is boring because it is mainstream, it's just right now the whole scene is a pretty big void. This Message Edited On 12.29.07

Metal Edge sucks.
|
| |
At least 7 is on here ^^
|
| |
typical list, but hey, its a metal magazine. (not to diss metal and say the genre is typical, just saying I wouldnt expect anything different from a metal magazine.) and where the hell is machine head doing at #1

lolz i kno, where is radiohed??!?!?!1111//
machine head had it pretty much sewn up, 2007 was an horrendous year for metal. chimaira's inclusion on this list says it all.
|
| |
I love it that Horse the Band is ranked higher than BTBAM.
|
| |
I don't really like anything on this list too much.
|
| |
HORSE THE BAND FTW!
|
| |
Oh come on Arch Enemy's latest was so average.
|
| |
2007 was an horrendous year for metal.
What the fuck year are you living in?
|
| |
This list is terrible. I can honestly say I do not like every single album.
|
| |
this is a terrible list
|
| |
Oh come on Arch Enemy's latest was so average.
I disagree. I think it's one of their best. Other than that, though, the rest of those albums don't deserve to be up there. Especially the Machine Head. What the HELL.
|
| |
ya horse really?
|
| |
FUCK YEAH #9
8 is good too, haven't heard 2, 3 and 7 but the rest suck. This Message Edited On 12.30.07

This list is terrible. I can honestly say I do not like every single album. DUDE, Immolation=probably the best death metal band of all time.
|
| |
The only I disagree with on terms of good are #1,#3 and #6. The Rest are good or totally deserve to be up there.
|
| |
lol the blackening
2007 was a snoozefest in metal bar a three or four notable albums
|
| |
seriously. how is horse above btbam. ?????
|
| |
Horse: The Band? There is actually a metal band who has a name like that? What a crock.
|
| |
2007 was an horrendous year for metal
Do you not come on this website often? There was lots to chew on concerning 2007's metal releases.
On topic now, I wrote down five of the most predictable releases on this list before I looked at it. I named Machine Head as the best album (and I was right, yeah!), Baroness, BTBAM, Chimaira, and the Dillinger Escape Plan!
I think we should all have a vote on which metal magazine/ website has the best list for metal in 2007?This Message Edited On 12.31.07

IIt's not like we didn't see this coming. Every year it's the albums that got the most hype/ which bands are the most popular, not which bands put out the best material.
|
| |
^How are you gonna (objectively) judge that though? I think it's pretty obvious that the most hyped-up, best-selling (or whatever) albums are the ones that the general public, as well as the critics like best. Duh.
|
| |
Uh, whatever, Immolation owns this list (and hasn't received much commercial or critical attention).
|
| |
outraged that horse the band is even on that list, even more outraged it beat out Colors. WTFz!?
|
| |

The albums that get hyped up and sell the best are from the most popular bands, not the bands that make the best music (like I said); the general public has been wrong before. It's just a matter of opinion I suppose.
|
| |
My main point was that I don't agree with this list; it's very predictable.
|
| |
I predicted 1,2,3,4,5,7 and 8 would be there. Out of those albums the only ones I see being worthy of a nod are 2 and 7.
Once again, my main point was I disagree with the list, no more and no less.
