Arch Enemy Reveal New Vocalist

2026-02-21 by Trey STAFF | 20 Comments
Swedish extreme metal powerhouse Arch Enemy are charging into a new chapter as they unveil the first new musical piece after their latest album cycle with Blood Dynasty.

The new single "To The Last Breath" is a testament to the band's legacy, and a step towards a new exciting era of Arch Enemy: "To The Last Breath" comes not only with powerful music but is also the first Arch Enemy song to feature the latest addition to the lineup — new singer Lauren Hart (ex-Once Human).

Michael Amott, guitarist and founder of Arch Enemy, comments, "Connecting with Lauren has marked an important step in my journey. Working with her was an exceptional experience — her remarkable voice, coupled with her dedication and professionalism, brings a rare level of excellence. I look forward to continuing the collaboration."

Michael Amott adds, "Make no mistake — this song is a reckoning. Musically, it's unapologetically aligned with my original vision for the band — and I believe longtime fans will recognize that immediately. Lyrically, it’s about seeing through deception and dismantling the illusion of control. It captures that moment when you realize you've been fed poison — and you choose to fight back. Once that clarity hits, there's no retreat. It's do or die."

I've never been a big fan of Arch Enemy, regardless of vocalist, but this is pretty damn good.

Song would have been alright if it wasn't for that boring ass chorus, but at least the riffs sounds improved.

fascinating creative decision to generate all of this AI b-roll footage but still throw in a couple of the classic "guitarist standing lifelessy on CGI landscape" shots for good measure

haven't looked at this band since like 2005 but the song genuinely ain't bad for what it is

decent by modern Arch Enemy standards, I like Lauren's vocals more than Alissa's

Damn she has crazy voice. Hasn't digged the band much since Johan Liiva left but this sounds pretty interesting.

Yeah that chorus is pretty cringe but her vocals are sick. Still quite a boring song to me sadly

lol, yeah chorus sounds like The Halo Effect or modern In Flames - which I enjoy but they do be cheese.
Rest of the song rips hard, especially compared to a lot of Arch Enemy I've heard. Sounds a bit more like something along the lines of Serenity In Murder.

Early 2000's AE vibes, maybe Anthems of Rebellion.

i was gonna say this has some big Behemoth vibes, pretty sweet stuff considering I always refused to listen to AE thinking they were just straight up cheese like Epica and stuff.

Completely underrated band imo. Not well liked on sputnik (or AMG) and mainly derided on both forums
