I've never been a big fan of Arch Enemy, regardless of vocalist, but this is pretty damn good.

Song would have been alright if it wasn't for that boring ass chorus, but at least the riffs sounds improved.
| |
fascinating creative decision to generate all of this AI b-roll footage but still throw in a couple of the classic "guitarist standing lifelessy on CGI landscape" shots for good measure
haven't looked at this band since like 2005 but the song genuinely ain't bad for what it is
| |
Whoa. She's jacked.
| |
decent by modern Arch Enemy standards, I like Lauren's vocals more than Alissa's
| |
This rules.
| |
Damn she has crazy voice. Hasn't digged the band much since Johan Liiva left but this sounds pretty interesting.
| |
Yeah that chorus is pretty cringe but her vocals are sick. Still quite a boring song to me sadly
| |
lol, yeah chorus sounds like The Halo Effect or modern In Flames - which I enjoy but they do be cheese.
Rest of the song rips hard, especially compared to a lot of Arch Enemy I've heard. Sounds a bit more like something along the lines of Serenity In Murder.
| |
Early 2000's AE vibes, maybe Anthems of Rebellion.
| |
they should of picked a boy
| |
chorus sucks hard [1000]
| |
Song rips chorus n all
| |
Will she help the band not be mid as fuck
| |
okay that was pretty good, there’s no shot the thing holding this band back was their vocalist so wtf is going on here
| |
So, new Arch Enemy singer is Dua Lipa ?
| |
"I've never been a big fan of Arch Enemy, regardless of vocalist, but this is pretty damn good."
i was gonna say this has some big Behemoth vibes, pretty sweet stuff considering I always refused to listen to AE thinking they were just straight up cheese like Epica and stuff.
| |
Completely underrated band imo. Not well liked on sputnik (or AMG) and mainly derided on both forums
| |
not really sure why tho, probably their cringey ass fanbase where I live just really put me off
| |
damn this goes, i dont mind chorus from a cheesy powermetal viewpoint but yeah the riff are hard on this
| |
I’ve never ever thought of a band’s fanbase when listening to an album
| |
Verses and pre-chorus are really quite good but the chorus itself sounds like a commercialized viking metal act and doesn't seem fitting at all. I will say though, her vocals are great and are miles above their last vocalist who also made me cringe non-stop in the music videos with her lyrics and movements.
| |
I dont know what it is about this band i cant ever get into them. They also seem to rely on their vocalist being hot as a gimmick? Idk i find the way their vocalist is always dressed in skin tight leathers and being hot to be a bit.....objectify and manipulative. Idk its weird to me just gives weird vibes
| |
honestly, if i heard this not knowing who the vocalist was, i'd have bet money it was a dude lol.
pretty cool track.
| |
Her vocals are solid but i just do not really vibe with the band. Heres hoping they can break out od the supposed slump
| |
Lol @Ectier, hot front(wo)men do help sell records/tickets I guess.
| |
I mean no doubt about it just feels weird to me the way they have been doing it ig.
| |
I guess if you hit the gym like that you also want to show off, I don't think it comes from one side only haha. But indeed it feels weird when bands do it. She has the pipes for sure though, it's not only looks
| |
No more memes. Sad.
| |
Is it just me or are her vocals extreeeemely processed
She sounds like she's got a good set of pipes on her but I think I'd have rather heard her vocals with a much more natural sound
It sounds like they're compensating for something and I'm not entirely sure why bc she sounds like a fantastic harsh vocalist
| |
she sounds more like Johan, that's neat. maybe that's what Ammott means when he says it is more like OG AE
| |
Great song, but I disapprove of the AI generated imagery in the music video.
