This sounds...well...not good.

It's like . . . fine . . . but like clockwork every fucking one of these bands eventually just starts doing a random nu-metal riff around all the pop choruses. Even Sleeptalk, which was quite poppy, had technical metalcore riffs in places.

kinda feel like they peaked with Sleeptalk, altho Dark Sun had some great songs on it as well

First time I checked this out I accidentally still had my yt on 1.25x speed and I was kinda interested but confused. At its original tempo, oof that's not a lot of energy. Rory sounds good but that wasn't ever really a question was it

I wanted a more energetic/heavier version of Dark Sun (aka more songs like Dreamstate and Neon Grave). This is not that unfortunately. Feels like a Bad Omens cover or something. Not bad but definitely underwhelming.

Also another Zakk Cervini mix I'm so tired of hearing that drum sound at this point...
