Sounds interesting, will definitely check this out.

Liked the previous albums, rate his stuff higher than nu AIC - less tryhard
| |
Degradation Trip is my probably favorite post-Layne release from Jerry, so naturally this has me pretty excited.
| |
This goes hard, def excited for the album. Though, 2 solo Cantrell albums since Rainier Fog (six years ago) makes me wonder if AiC has quit making new music
| |
Sounds like AIC, no surprise lol
| |
its a surprise to me shit his last record was the softest acoustic rock, this is fucking sick
| |
hype!
| |
For a soft rock country influenced album his last release was great
| |
Jerry is in my top 2 best musicians through the late 80s through to today. Jerry is the best songwriter and a great musician
J Mascis was and is the greatest guitarist through his era and another genius musician
| |
Both rule yeah
| |
Holy shit, this rips!
| |
Holy shit, this rips!
| |
I want new Alice In Chains and I want to hear William Duvall sing more than he has on the last couple. Black gives way to blue is the best nu Chains and Duvall was all over it.
| |
Greg Puciato and Gil Sharone? Dope. Gil was also the drummer on Ire Works
| |
Hope they have some creative input. This is a wild group of musicians but as much as I love Jerry, if he’s the sole songwriter it won’t live up to it’s potential imo
Still, great song. Excited for the album. October is looking to be absolutely insane
| |
Wow, Dad Rock days are over (even thou they are great too) . Cool single!
| |
btw if you get the chance to see him live absolutely do it. It was mostly AIC stuff but Greg fucking crushes it.
Unfortunately they’re opening for fucking Bush this go around and I can’t justify spending that kinda cash on a ticket with Bush and Candlebox. Like I sincerely hope Jerry doesn’t see himself on that level because even the worst AIC stuff crushes anything those bands put out.
I’ll glaze Jerry til I die, I love that guy.
| |
well now this is a song eh
| |
total banger. pretty excited for this m/
| |
I was hoping he would manage to get Chris DeGarmo again like on Degradation trip, but that guy seems to be well and truly disappeared.
| |
I had to look it up but apparently he only collaborated for "Anger Rising" on Degradation Trip and subsequently collaborated with Alice In Chains on Rainier Fog for "Drone".
| |
excited for this, finally listened to degradation trip (have no idea what took me so long), this sounds like it could harken back to that sound for sure
| |
Oh storm, there’s so many bangers on that record. Hurts, Don’t It? May be my favorite instrumental ever
| |
If you liked this and Degradation Trip you should also check his solo singles "Settings Sun" from DC's Dark Nights soundtrack and "A Job to Do" from John Wick 2 soundtrack.
| |
bananatossing - I was thinking it was more than that, but maybe he was just part of the touring group. Guy is basically a myth in my mind lol I'm always holding out hope that he'll get nostalgic and want to rejoin QR.
| |
So bad ass
I was supposed to see him a few years ago, but it got cancelled because of covid I think. I'm gonna try and catch him later this year. He's touring with Bush and Candlebox
| |
@guy
I would literally fucking cum if Chris got back together with QR
| |
I was confused when you mentioned Hurts, Don't It because it's not on the version I was listening to, I did notice there was a Vol 1 and 2 version and the other one called just Degradation Trip. I guess I should give the extended one a spin too. Though, 2 + hours for an album goddaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn. But yeah, it's a bitchin record, may be the best one since the OG AiC run, definitely up there with BGWTB
| |
Degradation Trip double album is fucking fantastic
| |
@wild
yeah it would take a fucking army to keep me from seeing that man live.
| |
Jerry Cantrell and J Mascis are the greatest musicians through the 90s
| |
This is sounding great
| |
Love the main riff and drumming
| |
Nah man
| |
Yah man
