I can't understand a word, but they had the cringiest lyrics in the past.

that entire albums lyrics were beyond cringe.

Their lyrics are really distracting yeah. And I usually agree with them, it's just the total lack of subtlety or creativity in the presentation that is irksome in music form. Might as well be screaming "BAD THINGS ARE BAD THINGS."

Their mental health lyrics are usually okay, their political lyrics are kinda cringey and can feel preachy also about as subtle as a brick being thrown in your window. While i agree with the message it can be a nit offputting with how hamfisted it is.That being said bands great, i really liked their last record.

My brain doesnt really pick out lyrics very easily for some reason so thats a benefit at times.

Overall i think they have decided to reign it in lyrical wise, its hard to have hope was the worst of it being so excessive. So i think they learnt their lesson about the delivery of their message and being less in your face and preachy.

I agree with their lyrics 100 percent, it's just as people said, the lack of subtlety or substance is just ugh. It feels like a high-school writing, very bottom of the barrel stuff
