New Exodus Lyric Video

Bay Area thrash legends Exodus released a lyric video for another new track off their upcoming release Persona Non Grata, out on November 19th via Nuclear Blast Records. 'The Years Of Death And Dying' can be seen below.

Band comments: " 'The Years of Death and Dying' is a tribute to our friends and heroes who have passed away in recent years. The lyrics were written by our very own, Tom Hunting!"

Tom adds: " 'The Years Of Death And Dying' started out as a poem, from the perspective of Death, being a thinking entity, always watching and looking for weakness and opportunity to come calling for people. A Grim Reaper story. We were losing legends: Bowie, Cash, Petty, Prince, Frey… the list goes on and on. Then we started losing family members and friends in our own orbit. Anyway, the title came first, then the poem, which became a song. I shared the lyrics with Gary, who helped inspire me with phrasing to finish it, and the guys loved it. The song is really long, and more legends kept passing right up into the moments Zet was singing it, so I had to keep writing until I had enough to complete the song. We hope you enjoy our tribute to the fallen!"

The album was engineered by Steve Lagudi, produced by Exodus, and mixed by Andy Sneap.

Haven't jammed newed Exodus in awhile but the vocals here seem pretty off to me. Will probably jam the album when it drops but this is fairly standard sounding.

I got to see them in maybe 17 or 18 with Obituary and Dust Bolt and can confirm they still put on a damn good show. Definitely a band I'd see again if they happen to come back with another I care about. Crowd was pretty insane for them and Obituary from what I recall. Good stuff
