Toby Driver's experimental band Kayo Dot shared another new song, 'Void in Virgo (The Nature of Sacrifice)', off the upcoming album Moss Grew on the Swords and Plowshares Alike, due out later in 2021 via Prophecy Productions. The official video can be seen below.

The album has been recorded with the original line-up of Toby Driver's previous band Maudlin of the Well. He also recorded the new tracks in the same location as the very first Maudlin of the Well tape. Moss Grew on the Swords and Plowshares Alike is available as 180g ash grey gatefold 2-vinyl, 180g black gatefold 2-vinyl, and on CD.

Tracklist:

1. The Knight Errant
2. Brethren of the Cross
3. Void in Virgo (The Nature of Sacrifice)
4. Spectrum of One Colour
5. Get out of the Tower
6. The Necklace
7. Epipsychidion

As much as I like KD, I'm not into the synthwave stuff. Not from them, just in general.

I'm liking this, a lot

(all this needs is transition into a death metal song, like the good ol' motW days)

Very cool, have high hopes for the new one. I love how they combine synths with guitars, it's a dense, unique sound. Phobos is so underrated.

This might be the most accessible sound this band has ever gone for? Pretty neat song.

was so happy when i heard this news. 25th anniversary of motW and 20th for Bath/Leaving Your Body Map. I love this new song but I do hope there's metal passages as well

Seems the maudlin of the Well influence did them good, no surprise there.

New single is giving me those maudlin vibes, really warped.

Sounds like it could've come straight off Hubardo.

Also damn, those vocals might be some of Driver's best.

Love the first minute, total Coffins on Io vibes. Would be great if an instrumental version was available.

Why is the new song not yet linked yet anyway I think I like it better than this one I think.

Yeah love the new song a lot. Toby’s vocals are wild, rhythm section is hypnotic, and it’s great to hear more guitar work like this (guitar solo!?)
