i dont even wanna listen, the first 4 made me shove needles in my ears
| |
My God that was bad!
| |
imagine dragons goes acoustic
| |
The closing track too holy fuck I'm done
| |
This is fucking sad. I have a lot of good memories associated with this band but man, they have really, really dropped off huh
| |
are they planning on playing this live at those obnoxious worship rock concerts?
| |
At what point have they just released the whole album?
| |
Okay what the FUCK is this kids bop shit?
Delayed the album for over a year to fix.................THIS??????
Who even are these guys anymore holy shit?
| |
Sounds like a bad country song
| |
Remember when they delayed this album to put the finishing touches on it.
| |
band's output been pure cringe after 2010
| |
How many singles do we have to remember? [123]
| |
Common Courtesy was the last album I enjoyed by these guys. This was terrible.
| |
The only thing that's remotely respectable from these guys is that they've had a relatively interesting album cover theme for most of their career sans Common Courtesy.
I remember being into a lot of bad easycore music when I was in high school, but aside from 'From Those Who Have Heart' (which is probably still bad now, I haven't listened in a long time) and a few select songs off of 'What Separates Me From You', these guys have almost exclusively always made bad music.
| |
What Separates Me From You was their best by far.
| |
I remember enjoying a few of these guys' songs and I haven't checked them out in a while. This song is really bad. Come on, almost a Nickelback-tier ballad.
| |
What the actual fuck happened to this band, this makes architects new direction look like paradise. They just became boring this is just cringey
| |
"Coz i know i got you and you know you got me"
The original version did a far better job: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LK3C9IytrLI
| |
Five too many
| |
anything past 2013-14 is not worth listening to by these guys save for maybe two or three decent tracks off of Bad Vibrations, but otherwise this band isn't gonna do anything really groundbreaking at this point
| |
Bad Vibrations at least still sounded like them, even if it was obvious they were running out of ideas.
The singles for this album sound like some Fueled By Ramen AI is ghostwriting for them now..
| |
Yeah, as I noted earlier it's saddening at this point. It's not like they've never been able to do these acoustic cuts either - If It Means A Lot To You is a beaut. The life is gone.
| |
bet this is awful but not gonna listen to find out bc band seriously needs to fuck off forever for keeping the predator in their band
| |
You can't tell me he's irreplaceable. Some real bargain basement basslines.
| |
Only moment in any of their songs I can hear him is the break in Monument before the "20 bucks says you'll remember me" part now that I think about it lmao
I'm surprised as well. Like you could kick him out, put his bass lines through the PA, and the rest of the band would make more money due to less members and not be the band with the predator bass player. The product wouldn't really change at all.
I don't think these types of bands will have bass players at all going forward unless a) they're also the lead vocalist, b) they write/produce all the band's music, or c) they are really proficient in the business side of running a band. Just isn't worth it otherwise.
| |
band that's always been shit is still shit. what a surprise
| |
Their bassist won't be getting any underage girls with this mess
| |
Seriously though, how are these guys still repping that asshole? He was raping children.
| |
This...it's just a generic chord progression you've heard a thousand times over.
| |
Nothing intrinsically wrong with that - you can still do a lot with a standard chord progression (after all, why would they be generic if they didn't work somewhere along the line?). But this ain't it chief.
| |
At least this isn’t offensive like some of their others. This is just super bland.
Album gonna suck
| |
5th single lol
| |
And this album is still five weeks away... I'd bet money were gonna get another one, and hedge with them releasing the album early as a "surprise".
| |
this band slapped when i was fourteen
| |
I kinda enjoyed this.
| |
"He was raping children."
ok now you're just going overboard
| |
^ Yeah. I'm not vouching for some creep who takes advantage of minors, but raping children seems a bit exaggerated
| |
this'll sound good in a car commercial for sure
| |
This sound like one of those songs you’d hear during a car commercial, but I still vibe with it
| |
fueled by ramen might be the worst label on the planet currently, how are you gonna find a worse replacement for victory records lol
| |
I got nostalgia for these guys but I still cringe over listening to them. I think I thought I was too old for that shit even when Homesick came out and I saw it on the front page here in 2009. It's intrinsically linked to Skate/Skate 2 for me because of how often I'd just loop Homesick while ragdolling in Skate 2. Common Courtesy had a few decent catchy songs on it but I haven't listened to these guys since.
this is bayd
| |
This is fucking horrendous lmao
Everything about this new album sounds so overproduced and soulless, from the repetition of the lyrics to the hokey Walmart Country-core sing along. It's so forced. The fact that they have taken five years to put out an album with these singles on it is hilarious. Every non-single song would have to be a 10/10 for this to be something worth the rest of their discography. Bad Vibrations was nothing special, but it was at least fun. Really a damn shame.
| |
I've only half followed the drama. Have they really been working on this for years? My impression was that the label troubles delayed it, and they delayed it themselves to polish or something.
I don't think anyone could seriously spend 5 years on mallcore for 13 year olds. This type of shlock is usually is usually polished by record executives pandering to a demographic and pumped-out in no time...it's usually not seen as an earnest artistic output. lmao that's three and a half yikes from me
| |
this is not good
| |
It's gonna be difficult for me to 1.5 what used to be my favorite band
Unless the entire rest of the album slaps, these singles have set my expectations at an all time low
| |
