Greg Puciato Goes Solo

2020-03-02 by MaySun91 | 38 Comments
Ex-Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato has revealed his solo project. His debut album is titled Child Soldier: Creator of God and released a single to go along with the announcement.

The song, "Fire for Water", sees him channeling his aggression and singing style from The Dillinger Escape Plan, unlike the more melodic approach taken on his material with The Black Queen.

Puciato also played all the instruments on the album, save for the drums. Drumming was done by Chris Pennie, who was one of the founding members of TDEP. The album is expected sometime this summer.

Wild to see Chris Pennies name dropped here considering the massive fallout that happened with him and DEP years ago. Soild song.

This is mad coincidental since I was just writing about when I saw Dillinger open for Deftones in 2011. I'm incredibly stoked for this.

I love the dark, muddy approach, but I can't say it doesn't have me wishing for new dillinger.

Well considering this is a new and different project from Dillinger I'd say that's a given.....

Meanwhile I'm just waiting to hear about KBK II. Maybe Greg's just doing this to kill time while the other 3 are busy.
