Regarding the new LP, drummer Rob Jones detailed: "This was supposed to be the future, but that future got cancelled. History is moving but it’s got nowhere to go. It’s piling up all around us. That’s what this record is about. This atemporality is an illusion, it’s the cultural logic of late capitalism, consuming everything faster and faster, each artefact a more diluted replica of the last. Even the idea that "pop will eat itself" is eating itself. We need to find a way out."
There is also a year-long project Unreleased/Unreleasable Vol. 4 - A Year of Wreckage you can subscribe to. It runs until May 2020 and you'll receive each month material loosely themed around a particular sound palette/idea/experiment/algorithm. Each release will vary in length depending on the nature of the material, but never less than a full e.p's worth of content. More details about it here - https://65daysofstatic.bandcamp.com/

HYPE! Band rules, excited to see what they come up with this time. This year is absolutely insane for me new release-wise.
Thanks for this, I was actually going to throw a news article together, but I got stuck thinking about what to write. It wasn't a particularly intuitive template and I was confused.
| | | sounds like a b-side from the NMS soundtrack. good stuff.
| | | I try not to write the same news article each time, but always ends up with the same structure haha. Anyway, I'm curious to hear the album, these guys are tight
| | | News articles are a PAIN to write, I find it really hard not to rehash existing phrasing or provide more than the minimum of content (really nice job on this one btw!)
Song is pretty strong as a teaser, definitely excited for this
| | | Thinking of a punchy headline was my downfall, think I could've just got away with the above, as it does the job just fine... I crumbled under the pressure.
I'm probably going to wait till the full release, because there's no way I'm not checking this out day 1.
| | | Thanks! About headlines, I quit trying to find interesting ones lol. I have the same 3-4 titles I use, because if you want to check something about that band, you'll do it regardless of the article's title.
| | | I was not feeling it until those MASSIVE synths came in around 0:50 and it kinda blew me away.
| | | Massive synths you say? Ah man, now I'm curious. Probably gonna check this, aren't I? Not really feeling much restraint inside of me right now.
| | | YAAAAASSS it's been a long time since their last (real) album
| | | cool band cool song
| | | Agreed dedex, as much as No Man's Sky was a (somewhat) interesting project and Silent Running had it's moments, I definitely feel starved of a fully-fledged original 65dos LP.
I wonder if they'll be touring again, it's likely. Seen 'em like 4 times already, but what the hell.
| | | knew I'd be getting some good gifts since my birthday's on a Friday this year, but this is the first confirmed release dropping on it and I am hyped
| | | oooh haven't jammed these guys in a good while I'm excited
| | | Kudos to whoever moved Silent Running to the ‘comps’ section on the artist page, you’re an angel.
| | | this band turned to dog shit after their third album
| | | Insightful.
