The funny thing about bands like this that put out uninspired material and are practically on life support is that they still draw crowds for their name.
Look at AILD for example... nothing remarkable in 10 years and they're selling out shows.

Honestly, they have been mediocre since Jesse returned. He was incredible on their debut, but everything since has been kind of bland IMO. Howard’s vocals really brought them to another level.

While I'm pleased that it was a carefully researched conclusion, and one which I may or may not agree with, the fact remains that the language you used was simply too strong. What if Jesse read it?! You'd probably turn him off music all over again.
