Heartbreaking news. Farewell to a stellar band. Maybe Andrew Groves will finally shave that god-awful bird's nest of a beard he's been growing for years. Thing's wretched.

Unfortunately, i don't think Andrew's solo stuff is going to be all that interesting. He's probably going to go all out on electronics and do a barely interesting ambient record. Would be a shame considering how good of a guitarist he is

had some great moments, but heaven & earth was peak, last album sounded horribly uninspired. Not surprised they broke up. Hopefully they release some great stuff elsewhere, maybe a reunion later when they get the feel back.

Last night Andrew just alluded to the fact that being a band was being really hard for them with the stress of touring and all the extra stuff that comes with that - illness, hardship ect. I don't think the band broke up because they were creatively defunct - more that they just didn't want to keep living like that

I loved these guys, really disappointed that they're going out now when it seemed like they were on a roll. But it's understandable, they have been a band since 2006 and a lot of bands don't even make it nearly that long.

This pisses me off, in a selfish way, of course. I loved this band and where they were going. But you could also tell based on interviews that last album seemed like a labor of love and the additional electronica elements were...divisive, at the least.

aw man, I got into this band from their last album that was stellar.
what a shame, glad they're releasing a final ep before they go their separate ways!
