Holy shit, I JUST learned about this band yesterday. I like listening to Game Grumps in the background when I do things and Dan's always talking about music, then I heard he has his own band and I assumed it was like a solo electronic thing, but I was quite surprised when I watched the music video for "Danny.." with Finn Wolfhard. Continued to watch videos for Cool Patrol, 6969, and a few of their covers (Take On Me, Africa, Rocket Man). I'm so down for this. I think the best part is, Dan is probably fulfilling his dreams of dressing up like an 80s rockstar that he's had since he was a kid (I'm assuming).

I don't know if I've grown out of the comedy aspect or if their earlier stuff was legitimately funnier, but in any case, I'm happy that having TWRP and nicer production allows them to be more heartfelt without losing the cornball lyrics

I've been going backwards through their discog and this seems like a quantum leap over the stuff they did before TWRP just because of the quality of music. TWRP seems like a great freaking band and NSP now actually sounds like the sex-god rockstars that they claim to be.
