Slayer's New Album

2006-04-21 by south_of_heaven 11 | 18 Comments

According to Blabbermouth.net and Wikipedia.org, Slayer is now done recording their new album, which is the follow up to 2001's "God Hates Us All". This is also the first album to include drummer Dave Lombardo since "Seasons in the Abyss".

The album is yet to be named, but it's slated release is no other than June 6th, 2006, which abbreviated is 06/06/06, or 666. However, just like most albums, this release date can suddenly change, as it is also the date for the first show in "The Unholy Alliance" tour, which Slayer are headlining.

Rick Rubin is also executive-producing, and Josh Abraham (Korn, Atreyu, Velvet Revolver), is producing.

Isn't AFI being released on that date?
Not a big fan of Slayer (Though some songs are pretty awesome) so this news hardly applies to me.

They proably took time off, and I'm guessing did solo projects.

They were trapped under a giant rock, along with Tool as well. Maynard went to get help but got sidetracked and ended up making more APC albums

slayer will put out a quality record , no doubt. you can rest easy , and bet on a heavy, evil , non radio-friendly effort. they will NEVER put out some p*u*s*s*y a*s*s , faggot, yuppie shit like metallica.
there are so many fake ass metal heads out there it makes me sick. when someone asks me what kind of music i like, and i say "metal", i wanna puke when they say to me, yeah me too," metallica is the best". ARE YOU KIDDING ME? metallica is so bad now, its hard even to listen to all the great albums from kill em all to and justice for all(black album is the most over-rated album of all time, its only a big deal because it was their "breakthrough album" )who does'nt wanna just kill everyone in the room when everyone start singin"exit light---------...enter night------"I HATE THAT STUPID SONG...lol...anyway this is my opinion...live with it.

Yea chaosmonger, im with you in the fact when people say "ima metalhead!!" but they only listen to Metallica. Im not saying i dont like Metallica, but they arent the only good metal band out there.

But what u said about Metallica being "p****" and how all thier newer stuff is s*** i have to disagree. In some aspects its not as good as Kill 'em All or Master Of Puppets.
Its just different. I mean St. Anger had some way good riffs and stuff. BTW Kill 'em All is my fav metallica album. So dont call me a fag for liking St. Anger or Black lol.

Yeah metallica haven't done much, st anger seems pretty preacher like. What bugs me mostly is kids in my hometown say metallica is the best, and yet when you ask what do you think of when someone says metallica, their response is Sandman. Any real metal fan will probably say something from the first four albums, slayer are still the reigning kings of heavy
