Hate to say it but I'm kind of underwhelmed. Maybe it'll grow on me.
| |
Sounds like No Reflection with screaming.
| |
Sure he's putting his old Antichrist slippers back on but it's just not the same
| |
Pale Emperor was a great album and I was actually looking forward to whatever came next. We Know Where... is pretty disappointing though. There's something off about the way that song was mixed.
| |
Haven't listened to this yet but that Say10 teaser from way back was fucking killer. Between that and Pale Emperor, I'm still unbelievably hyped for this.
| |
it's not Manson in his prime but it's better than anything off The High End of Low or Born Villain. album probably won't be as good as The Pale Emperor but I'll take it.
| |
sounds like old school Manson, I dig it
| |
I think manson gonna do his last album job once again. This is cool but i want "blues" side of manson.
| |
I am sure there will be some bluesy stuff as well on it. The sound on this track is quite raw compared to The Pale Emperor, but I am not sure it helps it.
| |
Now I understand why Trent hates Brian . He doesn't want to grow up.
| |
Looking forward to it!
| |
Liked this a lot.
| |
Say10 would've been a way better title. Why the fuck did he change it?
| |
Say10 is a terrible title
| |
Say10 was awful yeah. works as a song title but it's a shit album title, Heaven Upside Down isn't a great title either but it's better by far
| |
this mix is so fucking flat. song is pretty decent though
| |
Oh shit hypeeee
| |
Not bad, not great ¯_(ツ)_/¯
| |
and i still haven't caught up with this dude. he seems to still care about music tho, and puts effort into his albums still
| |
Not a huge fan of this stuff, not bad though
| |
man could he get any more uncreative with his album artworks
| |
Yeah, he's like a popstar (Miley, Beyoncé, Lada Gaga, Britney, Lile Minogue, Britney etc...) we get to see him age album cover after album cover.
| |
when it's pop stars i'm just happy to see the effort done in fashion
| |
Love the raw edge that he has brought back, but yeah, I was a little underwhelmed by this track; it doesn't really go anywhere.
| |
It actually kind of irks me how like the last 27 albums have had his face plastered on the cover. Will always love the guy but it comes off so douchey and lazy.
| |
some of the songs titles are lol bad
| |
Since he is a Bowie fanboy, I assume he aims to be just like his idol. Bowie had his face on each album cover in some way until The Next Day. I am curious if 'Manson does the same in a decade or so.
| |
I almost hope Revelation #12 is some kind continuation of Revelation #9
| |
Just completely ditches the maturity and fantastic progress made on Pale Emperor. Really underwhelming.
| |
Lame song titles
| |
"Just completely ditches the maturity and fantastic progress made on Pale Emperor. Really underwhelming. "
While I completely agree PE was a really mature and brilliant move, I have to disagree somewhat. I miss his heavy industrial sound and this looks like it could be a return to that. He hasn't been this aggressive in a loonnnnngggg time. But yeah, I'm a little less confident this album will be as good as PE.
| |
Digging this quite a bit, still getting some Golden Age vibes. Could turn out pretty great.
| |
Song sounds like something from the 90s
| |
Wow this is underwhelming...and I thought that little teaser he made sounded fantastic.
This just sounds like super average early 00s Industrial Metal song, wouldn't be surprised if this was single by DOPE or something, but by manson after Pale Emperor...doesn't add up
| |
It isn't that heavy though. It's almost like it's supposed to be heavy but the guitars aren't that booming or heavy.
| |
It's heavy in the same way Born Villain was "heavy". SAY10(the song) sounds like it'll be fantastic so I'm not too worried about this misstep, but hopefully the rest sounds more like that than this.
| |
Not digging it as much as I'd hoped. The Pale Emperor was a great album so I'll definitely give the whole thing a chance. I can definitely here the Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals influences that Manson was talking about in the instrumental but the production and the vocals remind me more of Born Villain which was a decent album but a far cry from The Pale Emperor.
| |
I dig the Dillinger Escape Plan drummer's work on this track. Song reminded me a lot of Mechanical Animals with the verses and Holy Wood with the chorus. None one of his best, but still fun and enjoyable. I never really get too hyped for his albums, but I've enjoyed his last several albums when I do listen to 'em.
| |

Yeah, the more I listen to it the more I feel a BV vibe from it.
| |
I just wanna listen to the full song that came out on the teaser.
Song titles are ridiculous but yeah I'm kinda hyped for this.
| |
After all the great work they did on The Pale Emperor..
| |
'I miss his heavy industrial sound and this looks like it could be a return to that. He hasn't been this aggressive in a loonnnnngggg time.'
Yeah I don't mind his heavier material at all, but it just honestly seemed like he had outgrown his older style after his move with Pale Emperor and it was his freshest release for years.
Ah well, I'm sure I'll like most of it. SAY10 sounded good.
| |
Just heard the single. It sounds fine until Manson comes in with his awful screamed chorus.
Lyrically bereft.
| |
lol
