I just nutted prematurely. About to listen.

In which The National get too close to the Zone and trap themselves in the Convenience Store.
| |
This is good.
| |
its okay
| |
Ask yourself, Sputniker. Is this really a good song?
To me, it gets good between 3:50 and 4:31.
| |
Yeah, that's the best part.
| |
matt's vocals sound more inspired here then a few national tracks i could name. it's got an energy as well, pretty alright but not keen on the refrain
| |
this is the best track yet what the shit y'all on. the drums are straight outta boxer and alligator, it's so nice when they go full force with them like this song because they're a lot more restrained in general these days. guitar work is wonderful as well.
| |
I assume the four tracks will grow on me and I assume there's some gems not yet released but right now this album is shaping up to be a 3.5/4 for me. (For context I have TWFM at a high 4, Boxer and HV at 4.5, and Alligator at 5.)

| |
this is gonna be better than science fiction
| |
Love the melody on this song
| |
yeah uh this uhh rules uhhh(kris)
| |
This one sounding just OK
| |
Sounds like Alligator urgency mixed with TWFM elegance. Absolutely in love. I think this is my fave of what they've released so far
| |
I'm hyped as fuck for this album. All the singles sound great.
| |
One of their best tracks yet imo. Wouldn't want a whole album of this kind of material but for a release week single its so strong. Very accessible and energetic but maintaining that signature bittersweetness.
| |
hurry up and leak
| |
Really liked 3 out of 4 songs they released (Carin is meh), which is my usual ratio for their albums. So yeah, pretty hyped.
| |
Loved this. Every song off the album so far has been fantastic, can't wait for it to drop.
