I would have bought this if I didn't buy a cd of it a month ago, I also listen to CDs more often than vinyl records

Sorry, this was about 2 days late and I wish I was on top of it faster but there's still the standards available as of writing.

And yeah cassettes are making a comeback I notice. This band actually did a small press of their albums on cassette which sold out in seconds basically. Any physical media is nice in my eyes.

physical media is fine. i obsessively collect vinyl. tapes are cool too.

but shelling out $15 for a plastic disc containing mp3s that i can just download for free online makes absolutely no sense to me. to each their own.

Fuck CDs. I buy digital or I buy vinyl. I converted all my CDs about 5 years ago and never looked back unless I'm buying from an up and coming band at a show- even then I rip it and usually give the cd to someone I think might like it.

i love labels that do vinyl+digital releases.

when i was in hs i spent an unreasonable amount of money on CDs. pirating shit was slightly harder back then.

I look back at how I downloaded music in the past and shake my head. But I also look at how much money I spent on Cds the same way. Vinyl+the digital download is the best thing a band can do though. Even better if it comes with a Cd.

Are they called Number Twelve because their music is six times a Number Two?

I ended up buying a couple cassettes myself but stopped as it was kinda wacky, I only had one device and we're prob getting rid of that car soon

I bought a bunch of vinyls too but they just take up space and I had to stop cause there was no purpose

I buy the CDs instead cuz it's supporting them anyway and at least if something goes haywire with an aux cable in the car I can use them so

i mean, I did and they still take up space as I don't use it often as it's a hassle

so I stopped buying them. I suppose that bothers you for some reason

I'm 22. No grand kids. Haha. Nice attempt at a joke. I agree with what @hortanz said because my aux has broken before and Cd's, other than cassettes, are they only thing that can be played in a car that doesn't have bluetooth.

"but shelling out $15 for a plastic disc containing mp3s that i can just download for free online makes absolutely no sense to me."

So you think a professionally printed CD has mp3's on it and not full resolution files, huh? And you also think the compressed mp3 files you are downloading are equal to said full resolution files, eh? Man, I think you're really on to something there...

Vinyl is great. I have lots myself. But I can buy 2-3x the amount of music on CD than vinyl, and it's more versatile. Again, I love vinyl as much as I do CD's and cassettes even, but the arguments about which is superior is fucking retarded. Though, I can safely say all three formats are vastly superior to the compressed to hell digital files a lot of people actually pay money for.
