Cool! Tentatively excited about this despite the previous album, because it's them.
|
| |
Wooo gonna catch them in February.
|
| |
kurt ballou production for these guys will probably sound super dope
|
| |
"This is the Truth"
"None of This is the Truth"
well which is it
|
| |
If they do a throwback album to the mid-2000s metalcore sound and put that Ballou production over it, it'll be insane.
|
| |
"This is the Truth"
"None of This is the Truth"
well which is it
Lol
Why even have two songs named like that
|
| |
maybe it's a two-part thing
can't wait for this
|
| |
Stoked for this. All these guys do is drop fuego.
|
| |
will probably suck like everything else they've done the past 10 years
|
| |
yeah their last great album was deliver us which was approximately eighteen album cycles ago already
if anything can get this band back on track though, it's ballou production
|
| |
Cool, will check out
|
| |
please satan let this be a return to greatness.
|
| |
Sound like a concept album. And with Kris Norris involved this should be better than their last few albums.
|
| |
while their last album wasn't special, i did enjoy john henry's vocals on it and i thought he sounded pretty good doing cleans. if they could use that with better songs that would be cool.
|
| |
wait kris norris is involved?
|
| |
pretty sure hes only doing some solos, i dont think he had a big part in the songwriting.
|
| |
yea that aint true.
|
| |
wait youre right nevermind. commenting too fast. thats cool i guess. tho i think the new guy does quite fine with solos.

strange artwork for a Darkest Hour album. i kind of like it, just not something i would expect.
|
| |
and as for Norris, this article just says hes making "contributions". so idk.
|
| |
This is the band that got me into metal, I remember playing undoing ruin for the first time and being blown away by the sound. Still one of my favorite albums to date and the follow up's Deliver us & Eternal Return were great too.
With the albums after things started to get shaky; on the human romance they sounded like they were running out of ideas and on the self-titled they went for a different sound with very mixed results.
In any case this is great news and I can't wait to check it in March.
|
| |
I really liked The Eternal Return, Human Romance was pretty meh though and the self-titled sucked
still stoked for this since between Ballou, Norris, the new label, and all their talk of it being their heaviest album yet it sounds like they've got a winning formula
|
| |
what a stupid stupid name for an album
band has been boring since Deliver Us
|
| |
i dont mind the name. i think if it was either The Godless Prophets or The Migrant Flora it would have sounded a lot better though. i liked The Eternal Return and thought The Human Romance was even better (the music itself, not talking album titles with those two). the self titled did suck.
|
| |
for me, Deliver Us sounded like it had emotional heart behind it, and every album since sounds like a band making music because they are supposed to
|
| |
Pretty hyped. I wanna believe their last album was just a misstep and this will be great.
I heard one of the new tracks live and it sounded like a lot of fun.
|
| |
Last album was ok at best, but I loved everything up to (and including) Human Romance. Can't wait to hear this one.
|
| |
Yeah it's probably just solos from Norris. That's good enough for me though, having him and Lonestar trade off solos would make it worth a listen.
|
| |
Lonestar has potential. even though he was in the band before The Eternal Return was released, Mike wrote most of that album. its still a good album, but Lonestar killed it on The Human Romance. hopefully their third album with him will prove it wasnt just a fluke.
|
| |
They released "Knife in the Safe Room" for contributors. Has anyone else heard it yet? Song slays. Album is going to rule.

Lol well fuck the contributors
|
| |
