That was dreadful.

This is not the single that was released today, same song but not same recording.

single rules
|
| |
Because it worked so well the last time
|
| |
oh no
|
| |
I figured the single was pretty decent, not that it's a hard feat but blows all of indie cindy out of the water.
|
| |
Not the most memorable song by them, but it's pretty nice. It kind of treads the middle ground between classic Pixies and Frank Black's solo material, which is better than most people make it out to be. Honestly, I'm OK with the tamer side of Pixies. They are yet to find the balance, but they're trying new stuff, and that's good. Until they decide to collaborate with Timbaland, of course.
P.S.: You could have called this song "Boom Shaka Laka", and no one would have argued with you.
|
| |
My first reaction to this was "Awesome!"
Then I remembered Indie Cindy...
|
| |
"Um Chugga Lagga"
Are they just parodying themselves now? Better than most of Indy Cindy I guess.
|
| |
well that was lame
|
| |
song is pretty slick, expected a lot worse
|
| |
@CaptainAaarrrggghhh
Yeah cause bands have never made a bad album and then made a decent/good one afterwards
|
| |
Kim Deal is still not with them though
|
| |
actually p good :o
|
| |
Are they serious with these lyrics
|
| |
"Kim Deal is still not with them though"
omg no, not the bass player
song is great tho, i was actually really suprised
|
| |
listened to it a few hours ago I don't recall any of it but I mean but I recall it being probably decent
|
| |
"omg no, not the bass player"
Do you not realize that Kim Deal's vocals/backups/contributions were responsible for a large portion of their appeal?
|
| |
shut up
|
| |
Kim Deal contributed a lot. They honestly needed to call it quits awhile ago. Anything else they put out is probably just going to be another stain on their discography.
|
| |
They should have left the reunion as just a tour-only thing
New material has just been awful and a stain on their legacy
|
| |
what are they doing, seriously guys it's not the worst thing I've ever heard but it's time to stop
|
| |
Is this guy seriously dismissing the talent of kim deal here smh.
|
| |
nah new material is always a good thing (even if it kinda sucks ass)
|
| |
The Pixies with Kim Deal is the best incarnation, and everyone that doesn't know that doesn't know The Pixies. That being said, this is pretty eh.
|
| |
they need to get Les Claypool in here and then it would be 10 outta 10
|
| |
More Frank Black solo work. At least it sounds like 'Teenager of the Year' Frank Black.
|
| |
They got Paz on bass, I can deal.
|
| |
pile of dung
|
| |
I still haven't heard their last album and I don't think I want to
|
| |
wow, shit, just like the rest of the pixies discog.
moving on...
|
| |
"just like the rest of the pixies discog"
unfortunately not
|
| |
okay, except for maybe surfer rosa, but that's marginal anyways tbh
|
| |
Nice sach, you picked the correct Pixies album
|
| |
The come on pilgrim - doolittle run is pretty much perfect, bossanova and trompe are bloody great too.
|
| |
Really sad how utterly lame this band is now.
|
| |
Nice sach, you picked the correct Pixies album [2]
But he still probably would only 2.5 it.
|
| |
I really enjoyed Indie Cindy tbh
|
| |
Ehh.
|
| |
Surfa Rosa is the best by far
|
| |
Not that bad but not avesome either and considering the level of their other works this is dissapointing
|
| |
Nah, doolittle's their best. And Indy Cindy was actually really great, I don't know what everyone's deal was
|
| |
Not amazing or anything, but much better than I was expecting at least. An improvement over their last releases for damn sure.
|
| |
In every album of theirs you could find at least one amazingly catchy tune. You had 'isla de encanta' on the first ep, 'gigantic', 'here comes your man', 'dig for fire', 'planet of sound'... but indie cindy was just so dull from start to finish, it was all very unmemorable.
But i dunno this single sounds pretty decent, it's goofy and playful, this could be a sign of some improvement.
|
| |
Awesome, another poorly mastered piece of music. They need to work with Albini again and get his advice on mastering. This sounds like trash.
|
| |
Indy Cindy was excellent in my opinion
Looking forward to it
