New Disillusion album news 2016-06-29 by marasm | 16 Comments | Disillusion front-man Andy Schmidt has been dropping hints and snippets of information for the better part of a year now concerning a new album.
Today he released information that a new album is definitely coming, and that it is coming soon. The following was posted on Disillusion's Facebook page today:
"Dear friends, today is a Great Day! After many years we have finally finished something NEW! Together with my dear friend and colleague Alexander Tscholakov from Tam Recordings - who has been such an amazing part of all Disillusion releases to date - we finalized the mix of new Disillusion material that is soon to come. I am so full of pride!! It all sounds great ... The mastering will be done tomorrow by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios and we're really excited about that. Great Day. Talk to you very soon.
Thank you all! Andy & Dis."
Disillusion have released two albums and two EPs. Their most recent album, 'Gloria', was released in 2006.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shit.
| | | this is crazy, i thought they were dead
| | | Oh man I can't wait.
| | | On it.
| | | r u serious?
| | | first in the woods... and now these guys jesus
| | | What
Holy...
| | | Gloria sucked, but I'll defend The Black Sea, Dread It, and that intro to Gloria. Such wasted potential.
But Back to Times of Splendor was a mahsterpiece, so I'll definitely check this out.
| | | The studio updates paint this as a pretty experimental release. I'm hoping more BtToS, less Gloria, but I didn't hate the latter either. It was a little too Rammstein for my taste, but it had its share of essential cuts, as well. The title track, especially.
Was hoping for a new track, but the official album launch is neat too, I guess.

Too Many Broken Cease Fires thooo
| | | gloria would be better without the silly vocal effects but I liked it so idk
| | | Thought it sucked at first but I sort of warmed to it's charms and it's cool
Still though, BtToS is another level of awesome
| | | Gloria is awesome. It was a nice change of pace from BtToS. Looking forward to this.
| | | First Novembre release a new album, then Katatonia bounce back after 4 years and now these guys? 2016 has been such a good year for music.
| | | I am very excited for the new album. I loved Back to Times of Splendor when it came out. I remember not really liking Gloria when it came out, but it quickly grew on me. Now I like both pretty much equally. I hope a single or two get released soon. A decade between albums is crazy.
| | | Definitely into whatever the hell these guys come up with.
