I think this is great. Todd's vocals have reverted back to the Unsilent Death days, but the heaviness and production has taken a tip from Abandon All Life. I'm really looking forward to the final product.

I liked the much rawer punk direction of their debut more than this br00tal grind direction toward which they've been moving. Song's so down-tuned and crunchy everything kinda meshes together and the guitars don't slice you like they used to. Honestly not bad, but nowhere near as good as it should be for a Nails song.

Not really a fan of the whole tough guy "You'll never be troo enough" vibe, especially for grind-tinged stuff like this. Like seriously, find something else to talk about besides how exclusive your scene is like a teenage poser. That being said, this is solid. I'm torn between the Unsilent Death vocals that he's using here and the Abandon All Life howl. I'd like if he just alternated between them for variety's sake. The guitars and drums are a good sort of meat and potatoes heavy. Once you get past the huge tones, it's probably weaker than your average Nails song, though. The first 30 or so seconds of the actual song were excellent. But 41 seconds in, they just play a tough guy riff with more distortion with a pretty standard transition and just milk those til the end of the track. Not bad at all, but it could be better.

Nails have always had basic song titles. And Todd Jones has always seemed like a closeminded meathead. Once before they started a song, Todd was like "this song goes out to anybody or any crew that wants to talk shit. Come say it to my fuckin face." Something very close along those lines.

first one is best one. it's really raw and abrasive. Second one is heavier and meatier, but not as nasty.

Noticed Abandon All Life was on Prime, so I listened to it first and it's pretty fucking sweet. T/T, Wide Open Wound, Cry Wolf and the closer stood out.
