Sounds like Underoath, pretty cool song, not standard Risecore, but still nothing special really...

Agree on the Underoath comparison. Beartooth also comes to mind. I definitely found this song enjoyable, but nothing mindblowing. I'm suspecting a fun 3 for this record.

Yeah, better than most things on Real but nothing great.

Luke Holland is a beast, he makes them much better; especially now that he had to change his style because of his left foot injury. It really seems like they dropped some of theshitty metalcore sound with the generic breakdowns. Not that they are that special now, but they were super shitty before.

@truekebabpower what do you mean by shitty before? The craig mabbit ep, Empire ep and Deceiver were all great. They just kept going downhill, Life Cycles and Real were absolute shit.

Definitely not as good as Underoath, but I can hear some similarities.

Pleasantly surprised by this. Not a fan of the first single, but this definitely got my hopes back up. Gonna be buying this and Jason Richardson's solo LP just because Luke Holland is on them.

I thought it was interesting. I hope they do a good job of combining all their sounds on this next album. I thought REAL was their best album to be honest. The only one I don't really like is Life Cycles.

I actually really like this. They got rid of the extremely corny choruses

^^^ True, way to many of those on Real.

^I will say, Your Mirage is the worst metalcore chorus I think I've ever heard. Haha.

Empire EP is the only decent thing these guys have ever done and this doesn't change that

Maybe I should check out Empire EP, since their full lengths have ranged from average to just silly.

Last paid attention when Deceiver came out, and then I pretty quickly grew out of that general kind of genre....didn't think they still existed!

There is some interesting stuff on their Deceiver album but most of it boring as hell. I love the empire ep but the rest is meh..

So much better than anything off their last two albums

I don't think they'll make another Deceiver unfortunately. They need a better clean vocalist at this point which is a shame because they were quite good pre-Real.

Are you guys on drugs?
Damn, this band just won't let up.
They should quit while they're ahead.

I was refferencing some of their songs, by the way. I actually think these guys were decent during their early days. This song wasn't bad. It had a big Underoath thing going on on behalf of the cleans. But their last two records were pretty bad and generic and CHEESY BEYOND HELL. Disgusting.
