Compared to the last song this is a fucking godsend.

| |
Really liked the last song, this is even better. Album should be great.
| |
Probably going to be their weakest from what I've heard so far though. Still though, this is pretty good.
| |
Great song, hopefully it turns out better than YotBR, but the singles off that album were more impressive than these 2...
| |
Could never get into this band no matter how hard I tried. Song is ok but nothing special.
| |
^This is probably one of the worst places to start. If you don't like the title track off of In Keeping Secrets...just give up
| |
Pretty good musically, but those lyrics are cringe-worthy in a lot of spots.
| |
better lyrics than the last one tbh. I'll prefer corny to Nickelback any day.
| |
This is going to be so awful. I'm so nervous because these guys were my high school obsession band and they've been getting more and more cringey.
| |
THAT BAAAAAASS! This made my whole week! digging this hard, can't wait to get my hooves on the color before the sun!
| |
I can tbh
| |
wow.
Has a HUGE mainstream chorus with a small touch of Post-Hardcore and Progressiveness from their first couple albums. Not sure what to think of it. It sure will be stuck in my head though
| |
The melodies on this song are fantastic, but lyric videos like this are beyond cringeworthy.
| |
Pretty good. Digging it more than the last song, and I didn't really mind that one.
| |
Lyrics are a major lowpoint, but everything else is decent.
| |
yea
| |
Lyrics aren't bad at all. People just complain when lyrics are blunt and about love.
Songs quite good.
| |
Song is heavier than the last one but that doesn't mean too much; liked both so far, but wish they'd do homage to their early work and give us something more substantial.
| |
super cheesy
i dig it
| |
That bass is stellar (no pun intended?).
Song sounds like YOTBR if it didn't have all that distortion/static. I kind of wish this wasn't a love song though, the lyrics don't seem to match the tone to me.
| |
better than the first one but still not that great
| |
This is terrible
| |
last time i cared about a new coheed release was yotbr, rip. used to be one of my favs but they grew off me so damn hard :/ . don't think i've jammed one of their albums in like 3 years
| |
better change that
| |
Liked this surprising more than I thought I would.
| |
yeah might give iksose3 a spin someday soon
| |
First three albums are still classic
| |
That album cover with the moon rules yeah.
| |
yeah whoever said the bass was dope on this song that dude is right
| |
>I'm so nervous because these guys were my high school obsession band and they've been getting more and more cringey. [2]
Yikes. This almost hurts. I think the band is done for. The last double album....had a couple of good songs. But this is just bad. Really awful lyrics and generic chords/riffs. Did they get soft with age/kids?
| |
smoke weed and blandbria
| |
The Afterman took a bit to grow on me so anythings possible?
Honestly nothing live up to the first 4.
| |
This was pretty boring tbh. 2.5.
| |
Never really got into this band either, but this would be a nice radio hit. Hell, I'm certainly gonna put it on a mixtape and give it to my gf at least
| |
pains me to say that this isn't good.
| |
The first three no, but The Afterman albums destroy No World for Tomorrow
| |
As much as I adore this band, I haven't been impressed with the first two singles. Granted the singles aren't always the best indicator of an album, but right now it seems bland to me. I miss the riffs and solos. Right now it's power chords with Travis adding something once in a while with a wall of sound production to it. The Afterman was a great step forward from YOTBR but I fear the worst at this point.
| |
Great song.
| |
cool song, digging the chorus tbh.
| |
Didn't much care for Descension at all and this is shaping up to be even worse.
| |
Listening again, that bass is pretty darn sweet.
| |
I'll always have the Willing Wells
| |
At first I was really concerned about a non-concept album but looking back on their albums, YOTBR especially, the best word I can think of is exhausted. I wouldn't say Coheed has ever released a bad album but I would say that maybe the concept and feeling the pressure from fans to "remain true" has really stifled Claudio and Co's. creativity. From what I've heard from these last two songs they are simpler but they aren't poorly written. In fact they seem to have a lot of energy behind them. I would gladly take a poppy album if it means that they continue with the band and feel rejuvenated afterwards. They're married and having kids, let them share that happiness with the world even if it results in something simpler than the Amory Wars material.
| |
Better than the other one, but still not very good.
| |
Liked the last song but hated the dumb cursing but Better than the other one, but still not very good [2]. The way Claudio sings Mars is really cheesy.
| |
I think since this album was recorded live there is going to be a whole different feel to seeing this stuff be performed live. Im a huge fan but still unsure. At worst this album will be OK. Like YOTBR. But im super excited. This and Act 4 in less than 6 weeks time? Amazing.
| |
so much better than the last one
| |
gonna wait til the album
| |
Just as lucid as any other Coheed track. liking it.
| |
pretty straightforward rock track, it's ok
| |
This is great, what are y'all smoking?
| |
