This is the answer to everyone who were crying about the lack of heavy vocals, excellent song.

I really like BTBAM but even for them, this felt disjointed. Haven't particularly enjoyed any of the released tracks but hopefully they sound better in context.

Have to admit that I wasn't crazy about the other two tracks that they've released, but this is really good.

This song is definitely much, much better than the last two released.
Definitely a bit disjointed, and I still don't like how they're producing Tommy's voice this round... lacks oomph.

I'm still skeptical about the album, but this song gave me a little bit more faith in it.

first half is pretty good, especially the heavy parts. Second half is too much jerking off on Mike Patton. So far it's still the best out of the 3 released tracks, but doesn't even come close to their older material. This whole album so far seems to consist of recycled Parallax II riffs and a bunch of Queen/Dream Theater worship. I hate to be judging too quickly, but if that is how the entire album will be then one of my favorite bands of all time is dead to me.

I never really took issue with Tommy's vocals on past BTBAM albums. In fact, I kind of love them on the older work but he sounds dreadful here. Too much of trying to sound flashy when he is just incapable of these great clean vocals he's trying to achieve. Instrumentally the song was fine but Tommy completely ruined most of it for me. This album is shaping up to be a 2/2.5 at best from the singles I've heard.

This track sounds better than the other tracks that have been released so far, but it has little to no flow. It might make sense within the context of the album, but I'm not interested in an album with songs that can't be enjoyed individually. I didn't have that problem with Colors, but I couldn't enjoy the last album for that reason.

This song is the least interesting song for me for the moment. The weakest of the 3. It doesn't even keep my attention, compared to the other 2.

Listening to the album in full now, 5 songs in and it's kinda boring. Like moreso than Parallax even.

We're probably never going to get the songwriting quality of the Colors era again.

If they had a better vocalist for the clean vocals, I think I'd actually enjoy a good bit of this more than I am currently. The vocals are just so weak, overproduced, and don't fit the music. This album is definitely heavy on the Dream Theater influence.

I loved everything up to (including) colors, liked the great misdirect and parallax I, hell even parts of the parallax II (astral Body and telos in particular) but this lost me as well. I also hate it how everyone just talks about the post silent circus stuff all the time or even only post alaska, when the first two records are way better than anything that came after colors IMO. Many people didn't even give them a try as it seems to me.

The dream theater worship wouldn't even be the worst, they have done that ever since colors, what is really bad is how they stopped taking themselves seriously completely with this mess of an album. the fucking circus wank sounds are unbearable in such high doses.
