Blues legend B.B. King died peacefully at his home in Las Vegas at the age of 89 on Thursday during his sleep. The most well known of the "Three Kings of the Blues Guitar" had been in hospice care at his Las Vegas home since he collapsed during a concert in October.

I saw him give a free seminar/lecture on the blues @ the montreux jazz festival 5 years ago. Was absolutely lucky to have squeezed into the way too crowded and sweaty hall, and it was a treat to hear him discuss what blues music was to him, and how he had lived over the course of his life. I won't ever forget that.
