Manson In Sex Shot Shock 2007-05-17 by Horrorshow34 | 16 Comments | Shock-Rocker Marilyn Manson has become caught up in controversy over his video for new single 'Heart-Shaped Glasses (When The Heart Guides The Hand)'.
The controversial star is yet confirm or deny rumours that he had 'real' sex with real life girlfriend Rachel Even Wood in the video.
The sex scene shows Manson and Wood violently kissing while writhing around locked in a passionate embrace. In another scene Wood seductively massages her nether regions while watching Manson's onstage performance.
A source close to the pair told Radar magazine that the couple didn't fake the scene. Manson said: "Let's just say there were some conservative people involved (with the video) that got a little upset about things that were taking place, and there's been rumours back and forth, but I will not confirm or deny them."
The singer told MTV: "Anyone who is lazy or, I guess, has the lack of depth to expect (a video from me) to be shocking and then say it's not shocking, is essentially the same as saying your partner is bad in bed when you're a masturbator...I think it's one of those 'buyer beware' situations. You can't be mad at me when you know what you're asking for."

I don't like his music or his style, but his individuality is an exception. He is always pushing the bar for what's considered "shocking" and I like that. Without him, what would we, as a society, consider over the top? I'm not saying I agree with the manner in which he attempted to "shock" people (but what's really shocking when it's him?), but I do like the fact that he had the balls to to it. It is for this that I applaud him for doing this video. In the end, however, this is probably just Marilyn Manson being Marilyn Manson.
And they are Definitely going at it.

Manson is very intelligent...
But he's also desperate. For attention and success. The man just recently tried to kill himself, come on. He's self-destructive and has come to need attention from the masses to bolster his self-esteem.
However... He's making some bold and smart moves (this video for one; for another touring w evl legends Slayer, who in cntrast to Manson's need to be perceived as shocking and evil as he was after Antichrist Superstar, are seeking the mainstream audience tha Manson has).
Anyway, he is intelligrnt, very much so, but that doesn't mean that there isn't some personal desolation n his actions.
