Tool + Mastodon supergroup

2015-02-10 by FadedFellow | 66 Comments
Mastodon frontman Brent Hinds and Tool drummer Danny Carey, as well as OFF!'s Dimitri Coats, have formed the supergroup The Legend of the Seagullmen.

According to Rolling Stone, the project is the brainchild of brothers Frank, Chris and David Dreyer, who have put on theatrical concerts and made movies about the band in recent years. Hinds is a friend of David and got involved several years back.

Disappointing. Instrumental part on Diver was the only thing worthwhile.

Why was anyone surprised? Danny and Brent were always the eccentric ones of their bands.

Case in point: Before he was Mastodon's shredder, he wore pantyhose on his head and played surfabilly banjo for Fiend Without A Face.
