Kanye reworks Lorde

2014-11-13 by blueriver | 17 Comments
On November 7th, Lorde released a music video for her song 'Yellow Flicker Beat'. The track serves as the lead single from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1 soundtrack.

An alternate version produced by Kanye West, entitled 'Flicker (Kanye West Rework)', that will also be included on the soundtrack, was released on November 11th. The rapper does not provide vocals for the song.

Kanye's version is better in some ways and the
original is better in others.

It definitely could have done more, but it works. I agree that both versions have pros and cons.

This is probably one of Lorde's stronger songs. Lyrics have a twinge of epicness that pulled me back in after being so sick of hearing her everywhere :P
