Hell yeah, new material is solid. Different from normal Foo, but solid.

I'm feeling this release is more of a multifaceted project than an "album".

I thought this was supposed to be their longest record. Wiki (i know… ) indicates it is significantly their shortest.

Where did you hear it would be their longest? from the get go they said it had 8 songs and around 41 minutes of music.

idk Grohl said somewhere that it would be 8 songs but their longest record to date having to drag analog equipment to places like new orleans. Short is good too being easily digestible. so far Im digging it

Nah I really dig the way it builds and builds probably my fave of the three they've dropped

At first I thought it was just a filler album track, however it really takes off halfway through.

I have a feeling this is more of a project album than a "real" foo album, just read in an interview with Grohl that he's already begun planning out songs for the next record

Says the new stuff they're planning makes this record "look like fucking kindergarten"

I don't know why, I can't get into these tracks right away. When the whole album's out, maybe I'll jam it.

Like seriously idk about anyone else, but when I heard White Limo as the first song from WL, I was fucking pumped and thought the record was going to follow suit (a return to those more aggressive roots), but when the rest of the record dropped it was a slight disappointment. IMO it had more filler than what some people admitted to

If Grohl follows through with what he's saying, I'll be more than happy

I don't know what it is but I just can't seem to get into this band.

pretty good, I kind of zoned out at parts because it sounded kind of samey, like background music, but I'd give a strong 3/5
