ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
| |
Ugh, what is this?
| |
This rules. Goddamn.
| |
Nice trollin dawg.
| |
Haha. Nah. I really like this actually.
| |
Yes!
| |
Fucking rocks!
| |
It's actually good!!
| |
Chorus is brilliant.
| |
I love how the lyrics are an apology for Weezer's shitty era. Fuck yeah. I'm behind this.
| |
Didn't this scenario happen with Raditude? Good single, hopes were set high, then shit album
| |
Eh. I heard it on the radio today a couple times. Wasn't too impressed. But not too bad. I liked Hurley, though. Surprisingly.
| |
Raditude did not have any good songs though.
| |
The teasers for this album are so good though...
| |
That is one of the most hilarious art works I've ever seen
| |
Can't wait for this album now.
| |
it is a bit weird to hear lyrics so directly addressed to the audience. It feels a bit undignified and desperate.
| |
surprisingly not awful
| |
I think it's done tastefully, and Weezer has NEVER been known for deeper meaning in lyrics. I don't mind a direct approach occasionally.
| |
it rules
| |
This will follow the same pattern as every Weezer album release:
Stage 1: This is going to be so awful. Weezer needs to stop embarrassing themselves
Stage 2: Hey this single is surprisingly not awful. I might listen to the album just to see if they don't completely fuck it up.
Stage 3: Wow, guys, this actually isn't too bad. I'm going to probably rate it either a 3 or a 3.5, but it has potential to grow.
Stage 4: (6 months to a year later) This grew off me a little but it's still okay I guess.
Stage 5: (1 or more years later) Who gives a fuck about Weezer? Album is shit lol butts.
Stage 6: Oh a new Weezer album is in the works again? This is going to be so awful. Weezer needs to stop embarrassing themselves.
| |
that's basically it, every time now
| |
it is a bit weird to hear lyrics so directly addressed to the audience. It feels a bit undignified and desperate. [2]
| |
disagreed sowing
for raditude yes but otherwise
| |
I dig it, but I'm scared to get my hopes up.
| |
"
Didn't this scenario happen with Raditude? Good single, hopes were set high, then shit album"
I Want You To did not set up my hopes high.
| |
That was a poor single. This is good and that's a start.
| |
gonna be eh
| |
Painful. I'll get back to the old 'blue album' or 'pinkerton' when I'll be in weezer-mood. Dunno...they lost that early rawness I liked ages ago anyways...
| |
Fun song. Taking it at face value.
| |
I like this a lot actually, here's to hoping they don't screw this one up (even though their only major one was Raditude)
| |
Could it be... a good Weezer album?! :o
| |
No good.
No surprise.
| |
This was surprisingly good. I'm excited now.
| |
Good tune, perhaps Hurley is their turning point to being half decent again.
| |
I've been let down by these guys too many times to get my hopes up. I'll give it a shot, but for the time being, my expectations will remain in the dirt.
| |
I enjoy the lack of subtlety here. It's like they're saying, "we fucked up! We get it." And wrote a kick ass song. It seems sincere.
| |
I'm enjoying this quite a bit. I have high hopes for this album. I'm not ashamed to say that I enjoy a lot of weezer's stuff (even on their shittier albums).
| |
I'm 100% I've seen this artwork on imgur lol
| |
idk man, idk
| |
jams pretty hard i like it
| |
BEVALY HILLZ
DAS WHERE I WAN
TO BE
| |
A good Weezer song that's not on the blue album? Weird
| |
kinda meh for me. I really loved Memories when it first came out but this hasn't stuck once yet but then I'm not super against anything post-Pinkerton so I'll still remain optimistic :P
| |
It's better than the lead singles from Make Believe to I Want You To, so I'll give it that
| |
i want you to is an awesome song dont even deny it
| |
I Want You To sucks.
| |
omg
| |
greenlinkin no matter how much your taste (d)evolves you still gotta learn to appreciate the little things
| |
I Want You To stop this, now.
| |
only if youre wondering if i want you to
| |
It feels like they're blaming the fact that they strayed too far away from rock rather than the fact that they started making bad songs with this. Kind of like a rockist sort of attitude which is just annoying to me. I haven't heard much from these guys but I know Memories which was a much better song than this
| |
^screw that. I'm sick of people shitting on rockists. There needs to be a good balance between rockism and everything-elseism. Sick of one side or the other.
| |
What the hell are you two even arguing about?
| |
Not sure, I just made a comment haha
| |
lol^
| |
"Kick in the door, More hardcore, Rockin out like it's '94"..............cool!
| |
cant believe they are still able to under do themselves. most stupidly hilarious song i listened to recently
| |
Best way to prove you're writing raw rock music again is definitely by making the MOST overproduced single imaginable
| |
The predictable weezer bashing pun bandwagon makes me feel nauseous. Queue someone to say something like 'this song makes me feel nauseous, blue pink waaaaah.'
| |
YO ROYAL SHUT UP
| |
Sounds a lot like Beverly Hills, but still catchy, look forward to the album
| |
Hey Cole I don't love being the harbinger of truth in this thread but it needed to be said
| |
I refuse to believe that they've gone above The Green Album status in terms of improvement.
| |
maladroit > green
| |
meh, this is uninteresting.
| |
I'm betting on a 3.5-3.7 avg for this album, the best since Pinkerton, but still nowhere better than blue and it.
| |
they played this when i caught them randomly with one of my friends a couple months ago
| |
Rocks. Can't wait for their performance on Jimmy Fallon
| |
I like it! faith restored?
| |
Meh
| |
based on the teasers they released, this is disappointing as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh
| |

| |
I agree with Greenpaw
| |
Song is ok. Some good and fun riffs, but a little overproduced and boring vocals
| |
this didnt sound good on teh tonight show
| |
""Didn't this scenario happen with Raditude? Good single, hopes were set high, then shit album"
Just about every fucking weezer album
| |
hm. it's not bad, keeping expectations low just in case; hurley was good but they might mess it all up again
| |
why dont they get the guy who produced pinkerton or blue album back instead of this shit
| |
this is produced by the guy who produced the blue album.
| |
damn, sounds awful
| |
They do have the guy who produced the blue album, Weezer produced Pinkerton on their own.
| |
Its time I got back, Its time I got back, and I dont even know where I got off the track. They already wrote this song and it was perfect.
| |
thank you!
| |
Refrain is cool but not much else
| |
This isn't bad, I think I'll check out the album
| |
Wow. This blows so hard.
| |
Blows minds, ya.
| |
"this song rules.
and so does "I Want You To"."
[3]
Also everyone listen to Can't Stop Partyin Acoustic from Alone II it's Ammmaaaaazing
| |
Rocking out like its 94, huh?
| |
Weezer prove lightning can strike twice on Everything Will Be Alright in the End, their dramatic return to form and relevancy. 1.9/5
| |
Saw the video for this song on Much Music last night.
